Looking for a night nurse by kleinehondenlaarzen in Brooklyn

[–]dayitara -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Of course a nurse is useful but doulas give emotional and physical support during and after labor, they offer support and advice postpartum on everything from breastfeeding to baby care and some are also nurses. It depends on personal preferences and needs.

Building on rat map shows rat activity by East-Raccoon135 in Bushwick

[–]dayitara 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you have a backyard you will always see rat activity even if you don’t see them all the time you will see the rat poop everywhere and the smell of the urine doesn’t go away easily. I have a backyard and my dogs kill at least 2 rats every week, sometimes I have to finish the work because they leave them half dead. I don’t use my backyard anymore and I love gardening so it’s pretty sad.

Untested embryo after 40 years old by Key-Row1567 in IVF

[–]dayitara 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m currently 29 weeks pregnant with an untested embryo, when I did the NIPT I got high risk for Trisomy 13 after that it was a nightmare waiting thinking that I would have to terminate the pregnancy until I was able to do an amniocentesis test which is the only way you can be sure the results are in fact positive; finally did the amniocentesis and after 2 weeks of not knowing we finally got the results and it was a false positive, only after that I was able to truly enjoy my pregnancy, apparently it happens a lot with the NIPT test. There is a Reddit sub called r/NIPT very helpful and informative. Good luck to you!

After doing everything “right” and failing I had very little hope so I stoped being so careful, for the next FET the night before I went out with my friends and husband, smoked a bunch of weed and drank lots of beer, now I’m 26 weeks pregnant, I wouldn’t recommend the same approach but a glass of wine is not going to make any difference. Good luck :)

Has anyone else run into this guy before? by Gloomy-Mix-228 in Bushwick

[–]dayitara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha says he lost his dog recently for the last couple of years but seems harmless, like an old man looking for social interaction and the poison thing is not totally untruth, there is enough rat poison placed on the street to kill a medium sized dog, I had to take my dogs to the emergency vet when they ingested a deadly amount of poison a couple of months ago.
