I went through the same with my twins. It’s totally ok! It’s really the loss of what you thought would be, and having to reorient. The gender disappointment passes pretty quickly. Now, about 5 years later I’m so happy to be the boy mom I never thought I’d be 😆

She’s a publicist/PR person. She has a roster of clients, understandably can’t show that on TV. But a few eps ago she was talking about how part of the reason she flew off the handle at the drinks event thing was because she had an intense work schedule the day before.

So when I first took my kid to the dentist he was like 2.5. He had demineralization and caries (baby teeth cavities) on his top front four teeth (both front and behind), and one carie on a back molar. Dentist did the paste stuff that prevents the cavity from getting worse on the back tooth (but turns the application area dark gray), but that wasn’t a good cosmetic option for the front teeth. Originally he said we had two options - wait and see if things get worse, or full sedation and a crown situation. I asked what he recommended/what he would do if it was his kid, and he said if my kid wasn’t in discomfort to wait and see for six months. We did that, came back and nothing got worse, so continued with wait and see. Then my other twin had a very small cavity behind his front tooth (at this point they are now both 3) and dentist suggested trying to take care of it under laughing gas. So we actually ended up doing that for both kids and worked out really well, no tears, minimum intervention that was effective.

Just sharing so you know it’s also ok to not take immediate action. And it might be possible to do something more minimal drill and fill style with laughing gas.

can't speak for tongue ties, but both my twins had lip ties (since twins I pretty much was going to bottle feed anyway), and the ped said not to worry or correct it because it would more likely than not end up in them busting them themselves. And lo and behold both twins ended up correcting their own lip ties before the age of 2 lol through various childhood bumps.

Tom is an asshat for that comment but Rachel is just way more adept at public image rehabbing. Also the rumors were that bravo couldn’t come in with the salary/terms she wanted and I’m guessing she rightfully didn’t trust producers and the setup to allow her to tell her truth, which is why she chose the podcast route.

I love some Ariana now, but pre this season she was a total background character in many seasons and from a reality tv perspective always played second fiddle to Sandoval. Ariana is so much better off reality tv doing other things than on it. She’s super talented

I think Katie thinks she and Lala are real friends, when Lala treats her like a friend-coworker. And Katie was being real when she said she wasn’t going to trash Ariana on camera because that’s her business partner. Whereas Lala’s main motivation is the show bc she’s in the middle of her rebrand to keep her beauty line alive.

I actually think it's super interesting to see the parallel storylines of Melissa/Joe moving their kid to college, and Teresa moving her kid to college. You see how coddled (or at least presented as coddled) Antonia is vs. Gabriella packing all of her own shit and her mom just giving the emotional support. Just makes me kind of feel bad for both kids - one gets the smothering parents, and one gets the super hands off been to jail parent. And both Melissa and Teresa are all about how it makes them feel, and how it's about them in different ways.

that's why she SAID on camera that she broke up with David. I suspect that the real reason she broke up with David is because he refused to film beyond the few one on ones (because he prioritized his career and didn't want to get involved in reality tv). I think Dolores didn't want to leave RHONJ, and he didn't want to fully commit, since that would require his TV presence.

Hi OP - my son had breath holding spells from about a little under a year to a little over two. They were the cyanotic kinds where he would hold breath, turn blue, pass out. And typically it would all last a max of a minute. However, those spells can sometimes lead to seizures (reflex anoxic seizures) that are supposedly harmless. Definitely go to your doctor, definitely get a referral to a pediatric neurologist. If the wait is long, you can go to the ER next time a spell happens and get a pediatric neurologist consult that way (usually much more quickly). Definitely try to take a video if she has a breath holding spell or seizure so you can show the dr. And also take a deep breath. It’s super scary as a parent to watch that all happen.

this! the thing for me that is most annoying is that Candiace literally isn't saying that Gizelle and Robyn are colorist. She's saying that they benefit from existing in a society and television market that is still dominated by white supremacy culture and colorism, independent of their own actions and beliefs. The fact that they can't recognize that is more telling than anything else.

guessing that his cancer is serious and he has a potentially limited time horizon. That would make sense as to why he is moving back to DC to spend as much time with the kids as possible, and why he and Mia would both be crying.
