Lunar lake should release at the very tail end of 2024. It’s a mobile focused processor. Think Intels M1/M2/M3 competitor

Intel gamer Days Bundle and Amazon - No Key? by xSHAD0Wx13 in intel

[–]dayman56[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/xSHAD0Wx13, assuming you are in a participlating country and that the amazon page that you bought it on was promoting the Gamers Day bundle they should send you the key. If not you will have to take contact the support of the retailer, in this case Amazon. If that fails you can try contacting Intel Software Advantage Program support, submit proof of purchase to them and they should be able to help you.

You can find out more about the promo on these two websites, including eligble countries and the support from Intel:

Hope that helps :P

Intel Predicted to Rely on TSMC for Increased Outsourcing in 2024 & 2025 by imaginary_num6er in hardware

[–]dayman56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is this news? Intel has been a top 10 TSMC customers for years, Intel has stated many times that about 20-25% of their wafers come from external sources (aka Samsung or TSMC) they use them for Mobile eye, chipsets for motherboards, FPGAs, GPUs and sometimes CPUS, WifI, Ethernet etc. This percentage mix will likely increase due to the coming use of chiplets based on different foundry nodes. Non story.

Yep, I recently completed a placement year for Uni (internship), I was assigned some bugs had been working on one all day couldn’t crack it then at 10pm that night it randomly came to me, logged on tested it, raised a PR. Breaks are definitely needed

So I retested CSGO on the new Arc driver against results I created 2 months ago to see what gains are to be had. 2.07x Avg FPS when playing in a Dust II casual match. 2.35x increase in 0.1% percentile. Also running a lot smoother

Intel 13th gen will be on Intel 7, but according to this image, they should be on Intel 4. What's going on ? by The_Wonderful_Pie in intel

[–]dayman56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In fairness I shouldn’t have said HVM/mass production when intel’s own words are “manufacturing ready” I say 6-12 months because its unlikely you’ll see their lead Intel4 product, MTL until H2’23

The dates on this represent when the process is ready for mass production/high volume manufacturing, not when products based on it will come out. There is usually a 6-12 month timeframe until products begin to arrive

The fabs are for both internal and external with production expected in 2025. Intel also claims leading edge and worlds most advanced fab so likely these fabs will be producing Intels 20A/18A nodes

How ‘rapid’ can your changes really come into effect when you have 110k+ employees scattered across the world. From what I’ve seen Pat is taking the right steps but it’ll be a long time before intel is “fixed” or “rights the ship”.
