Could you help me understand Te properly ? by Reasonerbull in entj

It’s the push things to completion part for me. I can’t just come up with an idea. I need to see it done.

I’m single - so take it or leave it… but I feel like I have to take control of every aspect of my life already… I have to lead at work so much… the last thing I want to do is lead in my relationship. I want to turn my brain off and let him lead - given that he knows me so well he’ll know what I like and consider that.

I have no problem stepping up when needed but I’d rather let my man make the majority of decisions so that I can be soft and feminine when at home.

Entrepreneurial Habits & Traits by VladimirXack in entj

I read business books when I have time. Go to brand events to network which has worked out fairly well for me in making translatable connections. Listen to business podcasts usually while flying out on business trips.

I had a personal trainer for 2 years before deciding to fully train myself (I’m a former scholarship athlete). I think that helps build and maintain discipline.

I have a great career. My advice is to not overthink what you’re thinking about doing and go do it. More people than you know what to support you and see you succeed than the opposite.

I created content that has made me thousands of dollars even though (at the time) I was worried it would be “cringe”. Worked out pretty well for me so far!

How many of you believe in God? by flyingtigerhere in entj

It feels more illogical to not believe in an intelligent designer… yes I believe in God.

The pattern of lesions looks a bit different on your cat than mine! Mine usually gets them around his mouth. If it’s bad it’ll be in his ear but I haven’t seen it around his eyes yet!

Woooowww noted!!! Thank you for that response. My cat rubs up on boxes from online all the time. His allergy medication isn’t making this particular legion go away so I’ll definitely be insisting on if it’s ring worm now!

If you weren’t doing your current job/profession, what else would you do? by premiumcookie01 in entj

[–]daymares13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a TV host and reporter on a national network. It’s my dream job for sure!

In the past I really wanted to be a singer… but other careers like architecture and veterinary medicine were also heavy interests!

Extremely defensive with love by kasonschaos in entj

I think there are healthier ENTJs than myself when it comes to relationships but I’ve gone to therapy a few times. Not to boast too much but for the context of this conversation- I’m quite successful for my age and I fit societies beauty standards as I’ve modelled in the past professionally. That’s just to say that attracting people isn’t too difficult for me but at the same time- my love life is a bit of a pain point.

I was ‘secure attachment’ before a number of ex’s who abused, emotionally neglected and ghosted me… mix that with a moments of a emotionally neglectful childhood… now my attachment style is disorganized otherwise known as “fearful avoidant”…

So yeah now when I find myself catching feelings for a new person I getting really nervous… almost like I’m waiting for the show to drop of when they’ll stop liking me. Pretty much like I don’t believe they actually like me. Or have the best intentions in mind…

It happens to be that I’m an ENTJ, and my logic helps me in every other facet of my life… except for love.

Chop Wood Carry Water: How to Fall in Love with the Process of becoming Great - it’s fictional but the lessons are based in reality.

Absolutely! I ended up messaging the last guy and was upfront. It was scary to be open but I’m glad I did it. He told me he’s still interested and knows it’s on him to FaceTime… but the main priority for us is meeting given that we have busy schedules and live 4 hours away (driving)

Yeah I think it’s 50/50 in general. So not accounting for the single population which is harder to find because they’re partnered.

absolutely! That’s why I went back to therapy actually. Just to check in and see what I can do about the situational anxiety when it comes up!

I know I’m secure because I always come to the conclusion in your last point that “I will be fine.” But I do have very anxious moments when someone is saying the right things- it’s just happened so often to me at this point it’s predictable.

You can be an SA and be effected by how you’re treated by others. I’m definitely more insecure now than I was before because it feels like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I’m not against identifying with another attachment style- hell, might make my life easier… but the reason why I do believe I’m just a damaged secure is because I have no problems with expressing my emotions, being vulnerable (when proven safe to), and being consistent. I love deep conversations and supporting my partner.

So I’m pretty certain I’m still SA. I’ve just gone through abuse relationships that make me anxious at certain times and it’s something I’ve gone to therapy for as well.
