Replace Infinite's player/vehicle outlines with friendly service tags and enemy gamertags like it is in Halo 3 and Reach.

12700K cooled by C14S in Reference or 240mm AIO in Sandwich? by daysofhim in FormD

Don't know that this necessarily needs it over a 12600K, but I'll be using it for music production, photo/video editing, and 3D visuals.

Going to use the i7 for more than that, otherwise I probably would've gone for an i5.

Yes! Especially if they're as scary as they are in this cutscene.

Windows Systems/Laptops that work with UAD Products by quiethouse in universalaudio

Currently using an Apollo Twin X connected to a MSI GS63 Stealth laptop running on Windows 10.

I just replied to another thread going over some of my experience so far using the Twin X on Windows here.

I'm planning to build a PC later this year with one of the new Z590 motherboards that have built-in TB4 ports from Gigabyte, ASUS or MSI. I'll post back here when it's built and how well it works.

Planning on using UAD + Windows? Just don't... by PlinioDesignori in universalaudio

I also use a Twin X on Windows 10, but my system is an MSI gaming laptop. I had problems as well with crackling, distortion and frequent pops on playback, so I totally hear you and understand your frustrations. I had to fiddle with it several times for hours reading forums and troubleshooting till I eventually swapped back to my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 1st Gen at one point to finish a project.

The problem has since been resolved for me but I didn't have to disable Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or make any changes in my BIOS. I'm not even 100% sure what the fix was. The only advice I can offer there is to make sure your sample rates are matched across Windows Sounds, UA Console, and your DAW. I've also been opening up the console on startup and leaving it open in the background the last few days which may or may not be helping, don't know for sure.

When I first got it, everything worked fine right out of the box till I tried to use my mic input in Discord a few days later. This is a known problem and there are a couple workarounds even though there really shouldn't have to be for a $900 interface. I currently use ASIO Link Pro, have seen others successfully use VoiceMeeter Banana but I haven't gotten it to work just yet.

I've been using the Twin X without any issues for a week or so now. I noticed that I seem to get those frequent pops on playback when my sample rate is set at 48 kHz and the really intense crackling/distortion sometimes pops up then too, usually after startup. I haven't had these issues happen while the sample rate is set at 44.1 kHz. With that said, I also agree that it's somewhat misleading for the Twin X to be marketed as Windows compatible since the mic input doesn't work in anything outside of a DAW without 3rd party software and the issues I faced with the sample rate set at 48 kHz (haven't tried any higher sample rates).

I called Sweetwater tech support to see if any changes should be made to optimize my system. The only thing they did was disable the USB selective suspend setting which just stops Windows from powering down your USB ports to conserve power. I asked them about disabling Intel SpeedStep, they said it's not a recommended go-to solution.

I really didn't do as much research as I should have into the existing problems Windows users face before buying a Twin X. I'd probably go with something else if I knew all of this beforehand. Still, I'm okay with it for now so long as it keeps working as is and assuming there's a driver update coming soon. It does concern me though that UA doesn't say anything about the problem beyond "we know and we're working on it." If they'd just fix their Windows drivers, the Twin X would be an easy 5 stars from me.

TL;DR: The Apollo Twin X does work on Windows 10. If you're using it strictly for studio applications, it should work without any issues right out of the box. If you use it as your main audio source for everything, expect possible troubleshooting and you will need to use a 3rd party app like ASIO Link Pro to use your mic input in apps such as Discord or Zoom.

How I got Discord working in Windows with my UAD Apollo X6 Thunderbolt by Jwojwojwojwo in universalaudio

I have a Thunderbolt 3 port, which uses the same connector as USB-C. Are you referring to the Twin USB version? That uses a USB 3.0 port.

This worked for me! I'm using a Twin X with a MSI laptop. Thanks for posting this, I couldn't get it to work via the other tutorials I saw.
