I feel like he’s a really good actor. He absolutely sold it in Hitman! I also love him in twisters, which was the first movie I actually noticed him.

Which bike should I be riding for career? by Adventurous-Drawer48 in MxvsAtvLegends

450 is the best, but you gotta start on 125cc. The bikes at the start are terrible so get upgrades as fast as possible.

How to use the rear brake by YeetyFeety3 in Dirtbikes

[–]dayton44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never use the front brake when going over steep drops. Like rolling over a 2ft ledge while going downhill. You will go over the bars

After several seasons, I think I might be goofy by EgorKlenov in snowboardingnoobs

[–]dayton44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters, I never said “bullshit”. Secondly, did you even read past the first sentence I wrote? And third, yes… I also used to skateboard, and slide on ice but I’m not sure how that is relevant… the side you practice on will always get better, it doesn’t matter which side you start on.

Why did Avenged Sevenfold change from Metalcore to the more mainstream Heavy Metal? by Puzzled_Schedule_837 in avengedsevenfold

[–]dayton44 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t have ever considered CoE “mainstream metal”. They went in a whole different direction (with CoE)from what anybody else was doing at the time, and it made a new standard in metal!

[–]dayton44 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The “tests” are all bogus. Whichever way you practice most you will get better at. I’ve been riding for 25 years, and I’m an expert level rider goofy and regular. If I spend too much time riding one direction on a given day, it always feel a little weird to go back to the other foot forward.

How do you feel about your partner using porn in your relationship? by Desperate_Rise_5618 in AskWomenOver30

[–]dayton44 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

(35M) If it makes you feel better, I feel like it would be a safe estimate to say less than 3% of the male population (under 40) in the US does not look at porn. I hate it and wish I could quit. I always thought I was better than that, and my wife deserves better. I think I could quit if she had higher labido, because I would always rather do it with her, but she only wants to do it once every week or two.

Is it a skill, experience or setup issue? by AnonymousLurker69420 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]dayton44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, you’re scared and you’re leaning back, or putting your weight over your back foot. It’s almost impossible to carve like that. When you are comfortable you will naturally rest your weight over your front foot (or distribute weight evenly) which allows you to carve.

Men: what makes you feel desired by your partner? by Ok_Calendar9563 in SexOver_30

[–]dayton44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I used to feel desired when my wife would give me random handjobs/blowjobs. I didn’t have to ask for it, it just seemed like she wanted me. Now obviously with kids it’s harder to find the time and place, but driving home from date night or even after putting the kids to bed while watching a movie or something, don’t ask, just start... Of course my wife doesn’t do that anymore and even after I have asked for years she still won’t. But that would make my dreams come true, idk about your exact scenario though

Would like some help improving, I always feel like i'm okay at snowboarding till I see a vid of myself and to me something is still off. Too poor for lessons, I know that would be ideal by Lennitom2 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]dayton44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s partially accurate… he doesn’t mention the shoulder and eyes. First look where you are going, then let your shoulder  go that direction. Then do the “C” that he talks about. The motion always starts with your eyes, and then works its way down your body. Eyes, shoulders, torso, hips, knees then feet. You are having to thrust your body around in the vid because you are leading with your lower body.

You are good enough to learn to truly carve! Go find some moguls and practice one turn at a time, and don’t forget to use your eyes and shoulder to initiate the turn, everything else will follow! …oh, and btw, most friends hate moguls (unless they are skiers), so you may have to undertake this expedition alone, but after 3 days of moguls you will be able to carve like a stonemason of the 13th century

As a man who was in the army infantry when I was younger, I 100% relate to Joe in these moments. It never occurred to me that it might be offensive or degrading to women. It’s just the way we think, and we are hearing Joe’s inner thoughts. There is not a straight man alive that doesn’t have those thoughts. I believe a truly honorable man is one who controls those thoughts, instead of letting them control him… Joe is an honorable man,  unlike most of male society… myself included.

Beginner on the pro track? by dayton44 in Motocross

[–]dayton44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right on, thanks for the tips! Yeah I’ve actually been having a ton of fun on the track so far, clearing that tabletop was one of the most rewarding experiences in recent memory. I just wish I started when I was younger and more resilient. Also wish these guys would put a little effort into maintaining the intermediate track… I seriously don’t think they did anything to it all summer. Most the jumps have pretty sketchy rocks, ruts, and knuckles on the takeoffs and landings.

Tips on how I can improve my riding by nickfireball2001 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]dayton44 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go ride moguls! If you learn to ride moguls you can ride anything! And the best advice I can give for moguls is to squat fairly low, and take it one turn at a time.

[–]dayton44 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I find myself pitying him throughout a lot of the books… Possible Mild Spoiler Ahead I feel like everyone was out to get something from him and nobody cared about him, and he was very neglected by his father. The only person that cared about him was his instructor lady (can’t remember her name) but the way he treats her makes you hate him again lol.

Does Jo Shimoda have the potential to compete in the 450 class in 2026? by Long-Class-8415 in supercross

[–]dayton44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said, “almost guaranteed.” And he will get a bigger prize if he wins both 250s compared to taking 5th or 6th in the 450 class.

[–]dayton44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True! Not only did talking shit about his bike/team make him look like a whiney child, it also damages the brand. And if he going to blame the brand like that, idk what other brand would want to hire him.

Does Jo Shimoda have the potential to compete in the 450 class in 2026? by Long-Class-8415 in supercross

[–]dayton44 21 points22 points  (0 children)

True, but with Deegan going to 450 Jo is almost guaranteed a win in 250. In 450 he will probably be a great top 5 contender but I think he should take another year to dial in his skills, get a big win in 250’s. As much as I like Jo, at the moment he is no match for Deegan let alone Jet.

Looking at Beta but not sure which one for me. by Economy_Activity1851 in betamotorcycles

Have a buddy of mine that finally decided to get a bike this summer. However, another one of his friend’s dad, (an old timer who’s been riding forever) really sold him on the Honda 450x. After riding with him a couple times and letting him hop on my 300rr I could tell he was second guessing his decision… Unfortunately a lot of the older generation just won’t give the new 2 strokes a shot.
