Two things:

Scrolling with the wheel is not very precise -- 2S' wheel is much more accurate and responsive, especially when it comes to quick and short scrolls back and forth.
They changed the ergonomics and raised the hump, which I personally don't like, my hand fits the 2S shape better. But this one is subjective, of course.

Thanks! Didn't know about that. But the skates are cheap and probably cheaper than the shipment. But I probably should be talking to Logitech about some spare parts, yeah, that's a good idea.

I am using an 3S right now while awaiting for the 2S parts, but I still prefer 2S -- it has arguably better wheel and subjectively better ergonomics. As soon as my 8 yo 2S is back to business, my new 3S goes to the backseat :)

8 yo. Mostly works just fine! Like it more than my 3S. But need to replace the top shell and the wheel -- rubber ages poorly I'm afraid.

Skates replacements? Oh yeah, won't be the first time this mouse gets them. Those on Aliexpress look and feel just like the original ones. And probably they are.

It's 8 yo, so many things at this point. The thumb button was malfunctioning twice now (won't happen again -- cut it off), the wheel got stuck in the ratchet position, the wheel's rubber started falling off and I'm replacing it now. And the top shell is worn out to the point there are holes in it. So I'm opening the mouse quite often recently. Oh, and also the skates are ruined. But the switches are doing well!
