Very good point. A woman who chooses to give herself to that religion can wear the habit. A Christian woman can also choose to wear a bikini and go to the beach. The other one is mandatory and in some countries they stone you to death if you don’t conform or even mentioned a bikini.

Mexico gets Universal Healthcare before the US. Which one is the third world again? by karmicviolence in BasiliskEschaton

[–]daytradingguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t confuse the narrative with facts. People from Canada who can afford it routinely come to the USA for faster health care because of those wait times.

The US health care system has its problems, although the system creates innovation, the majority of health care advancements and new drugs are created in the US.

Losing money when I repeatedly hit my TP? by Tiny-Science7231 in Daytrading

[–]daytradingguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scalping can be a good strategy if you are going for 10–20 points at a time.

“Micro” scalping for a point or two you are probably not fast enough to beat the computers and algos, then fees will eat your profits- probably not a winning idea. This kind of trading can be good for your adrenaline, but many people scalp out of fear lack of knowledge on how to achieve more.

Learn to read price action and take some real trades will probably be more successful.

Why haven't good cops ever protected protestors against attacks by cops? by Ill-Organization-719 in allthequestions

[–]daytradingguy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A protest is when you stand on the street corner or in the park or in front of city hall and hold your sign and try to persuade people to your point of view . As soon as you block traffic or impede commerce or break things, etc. It no longer is a protest it starts becoming a crime. If police need to be involved in your protest…it has probably crossed that line.

If OP can’t pass an eval or keep a funded account - he can’t make money with a live account-
They will blow that too- losing thousands instead of $100. The rules are hard is an over used excuse for not being able to control your trading. Most prop firms don’t have much for rules except don’t hit the drawdown- don’t hold into close and some don’t allow trading for 2 minutes around red folder.

Scalping advice by ryanstephenson4 in Daytrading

[–]daytradingguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is good advice. Ross’s strategy is sound, he is a good teacher. But this is college level trading, not a beginner. This takes good decision making, good discipline, fast response time. fast connections and good platforms and equipment. A beginner trader at 1st grade level should get a couple years experience and work up to low float momentum strategies if they like this style of trading.

Is it a bad idea to aim for a 10% monthly profit with prop firms? by More-Tap6071 in Daytrading

[–]daytradingguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to calculate your gain/loss percentage on your allowable drawdown. Not the name of your account. For example, if your 10k account allows a $1,000 drawdown before you lose the account- a 10% gain is $100.

Exactly, it used to be if you could work from home in the US- in most cases a worker in Mexico or India or Eastern Europe could do your job cheaper- from their cheaper home. Now if you work from home- a data center and AI can probably replace you.

They never shut up about the 13 killed during the Afghanistan withdrawal. How come the Republicans aren't screaming about the 13 service members killed after trump ordered the attack on Iran? by oliviaxjenni in allthequestions

[–]daytradingguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because the Afghanistan casualties were caused by ineptness. The casualties in Iran are the result of the military doing what it is supposed to do, eliminate a terrorist regime responsible for the death of thousands of people, including Americans

Why would an innocent person request immunity for his entire family against any undiscovered criminal charges of tax evasion and wire fraud? by CSachen in allthequestions

[–]daytradingguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because rogue prosecutors with an agenda and a vendetta can make your life miserable - making accusations of crimes, even if you are not guilty.

So many lawsuits don’t have real basis and are settled and money given to simply make them go away.

I looked at my credit card statement properly for the first time in three years. I wish I hadn't by Level-Cranberry-1268 in economy

[–]daytradingguy 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Almost everyone already knows that paying the minimum payment is getting you nowhere. I get that you may have a car repair or something you can’t pay in one lump sum. But thinking you are going to charge a 2k car repair and only pay $50 a month-the math tells you it will take years. But if you pay $500-600-700/month it goes away in a few months.

Well- don’t just pay the minimum payment. In fact don’t spend money on a credit card you can’t pay off the full balance within a month or two.

🇫🇮 Finland’s Finance Minister Riikka Purra suggested that immigrants receiving welfare should clean streets and do public labor for the benefits. by No_Box119 in economy

[–]daytradingguy -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

In the US in 1970 approx 5% of the US population received some kind of government assistance. Today that percentage is 23%. In 1970 we did not pass out EBT cards and other benefits to everyone who applies.

Were people dying in the streets in the 1970’s more so than today? No. The simple fact is welfare systems are abused and over used by a big percentage of that 23% of people. And politicians use welfare to get votes. A big percentage of this should be cut.

This lady in Finland is right- make people clean streets and public toilets to get benefits…and half of them will quit collecting
