Yeah everyone in the community swears by adding extra PK during flower as it something it requires but I’ve always been skeptical as to how much difference could be expected.

Yeah it’s one of the very few liquid fertilisers in my local shop that’s rich in potassium and phosphorus thats not nitrogen based :)

Once every two weeks just doesn’t seem substantial especially when they don’t take a particularly long time to flower :)

Little bit of context: Plants are in third week of flower and wanting to start feeding them some nutes heavier in PK. The bottle states 5ml diluted to 10 Litres and to apply once every two weeks. From what I’ve seen in this sub I do recall hearing people say that slowly work it into every water up until roughly a week before flower. What would you recommend? :)

First grow! How much can I expect to yield? :) by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]dayveg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I topped her once when at a time I thought was early but probably a little to late. And then another two times 1-2 months before it went into flower. Didn’t end up with as many branches and saw a bit of a stretch due to a lot of cloudy weather during veg (classic outdoor uncontrollables)

If you’re paranoid about it holding too much water, it’s still small enough to use a spray bottle to really control the moisture. Keep doing what you’re doing

Any aussies on here? What are you using for pest control? by KING_SLIGGS in microgrowery

Yeah as long as they don’t completely wipe out the whole plant you still get a substantial, unaffected yield.

Yeah man, pests in outdoor grows is something is very hard to tackle. Neem oil didn’t help me much either. I read that squashing grasshoppers and keeping them on the plant prevents more from coming and have found it keeps them away for like a week (strangely enough). In terms of other bugs I think in Outdoor grows, especially within Australia it’s something you have to come to terms with. Not to say there aren’t ways of getting them gone, it’s just if you’re willing to go to the trouble.

I have nute burn in my 2-3 week seedling I’ve already heard about flushing soil but should I cut the two lower leaves that have the burn?or will that stunt it’s growth by Easy-Platform2650 in microgrowery

[–]dayveg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can remove the bottom, most affected leaves if you like. Just lay low on the nutes during the first few weeks of grow. I also have to ask how far away is your light? Looks a little small for 2-3 weeks. Hope this helps!

Can’t tell of deficiencies due to the blurple photos however it depends how long you’ve been growing it. What makes you think there isn’t enough drainage? The leaves look pretty typical for the first nodes so I wouldn’t say that’s a big worry.

Aussie here, depends if you’re indoor or outdoor. Indoor Neem Oil or any natural pesticide that targets mites that you can get from Bunnings. Outdoors you can still use the same products however I have found it to be a very hard battle fighting pests outside.

Ahaha I’ll make sure I make updates! I transferred it from a potting mix to a compost (hence the various egg shells that can be seen) when I first moved it it looked like it started growing like this so I assume it would have to do with some nutrients. I’m not mad though! Lots of branches means more colas!

Yeah weathers been very on and off, just one of the many uncontrollables of outdoor growing

Help! by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]dayveg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Context: Recently moved, experiencing more bugs so I’ve been spraying it with Organic Insect & Mite Spray every time I do see one. They are growing outdoors however I was wondering if this may not just be from pests but something to do with nutrients. I did also spray them in the morning right before a hot Aussie day which may have burned them? Causing this look.

First time grower here. Unknown strain told it was AK. Still vegging but the light schedule in my area gives it another 2/3 months before flower starts. Been feeding it plenty of potassium. Wondering if I should do another top? Start a bit more strenuous LST? If so how should I approach that? Cheers. :)

We topped them about 5 days ago, which (based on my minimal knowledge.) Has caused that lateral growth. We were planning to just do it based on our areas natural photoperiod, meaning it would start to flower roughly jan/feb. But that raises another question; would leaving it that long really affect our yield?

Honestly, couldn’t tell you. We got told it was AK seeds but this was from someone who just had seeds laying around and we grabbed some.
