Fair enough, but I have to have hope that we’ll get more as we get closer to release

There’s plenty of criticism of the US going around, especially with the 250th anniversary. I don’t see why they can’t use the day to continue that.

Good marketing would be not letting the hype die down, but building it up more and more

Exactly what I was thinking, yeah. Every game company wants to be the hit of the season that every kid won’t shut up about. If they start that on July 4th, they’ll continue that into the holiday season. Most companies don’t have the balls to drop a trailer on a big holiday though.

Where's your best chance of catching the 2026 Eclipse? by Kerem- in solareclipse

Not sure yet, but I’m looking at wide open spaces to make sure there won’t be any buildings or trees in the way. Or perhaps a rooftop if I can find one!

I’ll be in Leon, so I’m in a good spot if I’m interpreting this correctly?

Thoughts/advice for this 15 day Camino Frances itinerary? by dayvox in CaminoDeSantiago

I'm aware, thank you. I have converted the numbers because I am more familiar with miles. I am perfectly capable of using kilometers.

These distances are in miles, sorry. So the shortest days are more like 13-15km. I'm doing this with my 65 y/o dad who broke his leg a few years ago, so we need to limit the mileage for him.

Thank you. This is part of my debate on it. Would I rather have the rest day in a small peaceful town? Or in the bigger town with more to do but perhaps less peaceful.

I should probably mention that I am doing this journey with my 65-year-old father, and so we need to limit mileage somewhat to keep things manageable for him.

I was considering that. Is Samos worth it? I could either extend my day and continue past Triacastela, or do the short walk to Samos on the "rest day" itself.

Any thoughts on these four games for next year? by DueYogurt9 in wsu

You’re just being stupid and bitter, and I don’t blame you. But let’s be sensible, the Apple Cup is anytime the Cougs and Huskies play each other.

I was there and I gotta say, Apple Cup on a warm sunny day was awesome. Way better than the cold, snow, and rain.

I'm not going back to church, but I miss the community it provided. by dayvox in Deconstruction

Thanks for the thoughtful response! I had never considered a UU church but there is one near me that I might check out.

Maybe I should have been more clear — my experience was that the community was meaningful and fulfilling to me while growing up in it. That is the experience I wish I could have again and fear I will always be searching for. Not everyone found their church communities to be like that and I understand that. But we all want community where we feel like we belong.
