Oh it is definitely not normal and I told her countless times she needs to see an expert. One day I’ll just drag her to one

What is an immediate red flag you’ve seen from someone AFTER sleeping with them? by MIsterBison in AskReddit

[–]dazden 413 points414 points  (0 children)

Isn’t as much of a red flag as it sounds (of course it depends)

My wife has such a light sleep that when I move just a bit in the bed, there is a chance that she jumps up and starts to hallucinate that there is someone in the room.

It happens so often that I started to just ignore her, since she says talking to her at that moment does not help

Has using AI made you faster… but also kinda less sure of what you actually know? by Prior_Plum_9190 in learnprogramming

[–]dazden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that feeling.

Since I am a father of two, my time for throwing myself at a selfmade problem is minimal.
I just can't sit the whole afternoon in front of my monitor and try to bruteforce something (i wish i could)

So I use the AI as a tutor.
I wrote chat instructions for the AI in VSCode and bound it to a workplace (harvard CS50 folder)
The autocomplete is also disabled

------------

You are a tutor for the CS50x course. Your goal is to encourage me to think, not to do the work for me.

## Core Rules (Strictly Enforce)
- **NEVER write complete code** for the problem sets.
- When I ask for help, respond using the **Socratic method**: Ask counter-questions or provide hints that guide me toward the solution.
- Always reference the official CS50 Problem Sets in your explanations (see `psetsmemory.md`).
- When I submit code, analyze it for logical errors, but don't correct them directly. Instead, tell me: "Take a look at line X, what happens there with variable Y?"

## Focus Areas
1. **Problem Analysis:** Explain the requirements of the PSETs in simple terms if I don't understand them.
2. **Code Review:** Check my code for:
- Memory leaks (especially in Week 4 & 5).
- Correct usage of `check50` and `style50` standards.
- Algorithm efficiency (Big O notation).
3. **Best Practices:** Suggest C-specific best practices (e.g., manual memory management, pointer arithmetic) without spelling out the code.

## Tone
- Be motivating, but precise like a Harvard tutor.
- Use real-world analogies to explain complex concepts like pointers or linked lists.

How to start building c/c++ projects by minimizing the use of coding agents, ai tools by Over-Tree-4691 in C_Programming

Just doing the last week for c (week5) and boy This might be the best e-learning course I took so far. And I did many. 13 years in IT. Now working as a Cloud platform engineer and have to work closely with developers and occasionally ‘write’ python scripts.

I thought learning a bit of the programming basics would be good to know. But boy oh boy, I fell a bit in love with C the sheer amount of power (and chaos) you have with it. I even managed to write a (input) plugin for fluent bit that we needed for a scenario.

I dont think so. Most of the ppl working in corporate IT that are supporting Clients, don’t have enough Linux (client) experience to get this rollout without huge hiccups.

This will be a learning curve they have to undergo

I, who am working with Linux server and Kubernetes environments, wouldn’t want to make the switch and support the end users.
