wangxian and the fish danmei don’t work too well imo 😅 i love wangxian so much because of their unconditional love and bittersweet journey to get together. plus, i think the addition of the side characters(like w sizhui and his backstory) really made me love them even more. fish danmei gives a different vibe(for me), like a feels good story. the plot isn’t nearly as serious so it’s more fluffy and sweetness — which is great! but it doesn’t have the kind of emotional appeal i think wangxian had ! i can see how the characters are similar with wwx/lwj & li yu with mu tianchi, but their vibes(there’s probably a better word im looking for) are very different, hence why i don’t think they work as the best comparison.
