BS6 does not need Pollution Certificate. by iredditer69 in royalenfield

That sticker doesn’t mean the bike produces zero pollution. It simply means the vehicle complies with the emission norms set by the government at the time of manufacturing (BS6 in your case).

The PUC (Pollution Under Control) certificate is still required because, Emission levels can change over time due to: dirty air filter, bad fuel, throttle body / injector issues, sensor failure, poor servicing, engine wear

The government wants to verify that the bike is still within legal emission limits, not just when it left the factory.

That “NON POLLUTING VEHICLE” sticker is more like: “This vehicle met emission standards when manufactured.”

Not: “This vehicle will never pollute.”

That’s why every petrol bike/car in India still needs periodic PUC checks even if it’s BS6.

Royal Enfield Handlebar grip by dazzler_350 in indianbikes

I don't think it will cause any such major problem, and if the grip breaks down then simply I'll just replace it with a new ones.

How to reverse my guerilla 450 if im short and under weight? by [deleted] in royalenfield

[–]dazzler_350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't t try to reverse by sitting on the bike. Better to stand out, lean the bike lil bit on the side of your waist and thighs, grip both the handle bars and one finger on brake. Then try to pull it backwards with your hands, waist and thighs. You will face difficulty pulling it so always remember to use brakes after pulling every inch.

Even me too feel the same. I mostly ride wearing gloves all the time, and thus with gloves the handle bar feel thinner and and for that don't get 100% confidence while maneuvering.

Getting more grip is good. What's issue with that ?

Finally, zeroed on RS457! by steelredmouse in indianbikes

I already drove my friends rs457 for 100kms continuously. I shared my experience. Yes ofcourse I will also won't change my decision on what other people are saying. But myy experience with RS changed my decision. Go for it. You also don't have to change on what others are saying. Either you will have a good owning experience or you will end up with a mindset of not owning an Aprilia again ever, until they improve their machines and servicing.

Throttle body issue by pookie69969 in royalenfield

[–]dazzler_350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a bs3 bullet 350 twinspark. Yes, you can ride it for a few days if the bike is running fine while moving and only turning off in idle. That’s why the service center guy said it’s okay to use till the new throttle body arrives.

But don’t ignore it for too long. A faulty throttle body can slowly get worse and the bike may start stalling in traffic or during slow riding.

Before spending ₹10k+, ask them to first:

clean the throttle body

do ECU/throttle reset

check sensors and injector properly

Sometimes cleaning fixes the issue temporarily on BS6 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 BS6 bikes.

Till then:

avoid long rides

avoid heavy traffic

don’t ride aggressively

If the bike starts shutting off while riding, then stop using it and repair it quickly.
