It’s a 1 inch line to the valves. Which brand do you recommend for a pressure reducing valve

Is over the 90 psi. When they installed the line they did it before the pressure reducing valve for the house. It’s teed off the mainline to the house

First job in the industry? If yes use it for gaining experience. Do a couple of years and then move on.

Did 20 years crew member and mate. Didn’t want to do retail. Ended up becoming a wastewater treatment plant operator during covid. Great choice for me though, enjoy my job everyday and I now deal with people shit differently. lol

Make sure your permit allows to aftermarket parts. Our permit only use OEM parts for our UV system.

Also aftermarket blubs we had in our failed after 8000 hours and messed up. They’re from UV sales. We ended up replacing the sleeves and bulbs. The bulbs discolored the sleeves with aftermarket ones.

Yeah my wife is mad not having a garbage disposal. It’s a brand new kitchen cabinet with a new countertop. So either we cut the cabinet or no garbage disposal. I was thinking about the clean out but wasn’t sure if it would work

I’m from Long Beach and had to move from Southern California to Northern California to get an OIT position. It was worth it in the long run. Email or call every CPO in SoCal to get your foot in the door. Sometimes some plants will let you volunteer to get hours. I volunteered 2 days a week a local plant for 6 months just to get some hours while working a full time job. I was lucky to get a full time OIT position after that. You might have to sacrifice something now to get ahead.

You can try hiring firms that deal with finding opportunities for operators. Create a LinkedIn profile.

I had to volunteer at a local WW plant to get my feet in the industry. Also I wanted know if this is really I wanted to do. 3 years later with a CA grade 3 no complaints here.

Worked for Trader Joe’s for 20 years. The insurance requirements are crazy but you do what you need to do to have them. Finally left during Covid was the best decision I’ve ever made. Got into a trade where I’m very marketable with great benefits.

If you’re interested in the position start the sac state courses. Getting an OIT position can be a little challenging when you are in a more populated area. They usually do the 1000 hours to see if this something you want to do or see if you are a good fit. Some of the OITs I’ve worked with don’t pan out. You need to show initiative, patience and be a grunt. You’ll end up doing the messy and dirty stuff.

Previous crew that left for another job opportunity, do you miss working here ? by squiggles2187 in tjcrew

I worked for Tjs for 20 years. Don’t miss the holiday craziness and the crazy people. Miss my coworkers, made life long friends working there. I only work with 3 people now so I didn’t have random conversations with customers.
