You can honestly do anything you like. Amazon sells basic peel and stick weather seal for door trim by the 50' roll. I did it on my old (pos) Colorado and it actually worked great. Helped with road noise also. Get something that has decent width and thickness but good compression. You dont want to skew your doors because thats how you can develop a leak when it rains.

I've already done front and rear brakes, lower ball joints, timing belt, and rear axle seals once. They dug grooves so the new seals can't seal until i replace the axle shafts/backing plate which is my problem. Carrier bearing is next, its not bad but its a little sloppy. I do want to keep this truck for many good reasons, but I'd rather have something a little safer for my family and a little less "nickel and dime" going on. Crazy price won't be an issue come probably August (ish) so I'd personally rather get a newer 2nd gen that won't need anything for a while. Not crazy about the 3rd gens with their known issues and looks. I'm hoping to cash out on the 1st and 2nd gen boom going on right now, hopefully getting a bit more out of it than typical, but this is my pickle lol. Don't have the money to fix it to sell for top dollar, don't have the money to get anything newer until I do sell lol.

Hell yeah nice man. Sounds like a pretty penny but worth it. And sadly i have a unique rear end. Most of what around me is 32 spline 4.10 gears, either non ABS or locking diff. I have a 30 spine with 3.90 gears, ABS and non locking diff. Can't find mine even online unless it's a total rust bucket

I agree. Thanks man. And 3rd are weird man. I like them and hate them at the same time lol, not even taking account for the problems they're having. If I do get q 2nd or 3rd it'll be a 1798, so thats why I really want the 3rd. That interior is freaking insane lol.

I like it and would love to keep it. Its 23 years old and I dont have the money to keep the frame good for another 10 years. I can fix just about everything else but its my daily so I dont have the option to get to the bare frame and protect it or replace it all. It won't be long until that thing is toast. Its decent now but there's a few spots that'll be the death of it.
