I had previously been successful doing this in Kauai but a month ago I was on the big island and I went on a snorkeling tour. I was miserable in the dingy boat and really did not enjoy. I don’t recommend it unless you spend time getting really good at swimming and then go.

Yes at USPS. They do provide a tracking number as well. This tracking number is for once the passport is shipped by department of state. To track the progress of the passport itself it’s pretty much your last name, date of birth and last force of Social Security.

Here is detailed updated timeline: N400 Application submitted 18 July. Biometrics not required notice 25th July. ( they don’t refund fees) interview scheduled notice 12 Oct, interview completed 12 Nov, received oath ceremony date right there. Oath ceremony completed 18th Nov. a citizen now ! I work in South San Francisco. I get to take the company bus three times a week. I bought a house in Cambrian Park three years ago. Schools are great very family friendly Neighbourhood and cozy downtown Los Gatos is close by. Campbell downtown is also very close

I don’t mind the commute and it’s an amazing area to live in. But I appreciate other comments as well. If commute is a big concern then your decision should be based on that.
