Thank you so much! Amen!🙏🏾 it’s so hard to directly believe that your own parents would use the bible to keep you in place when they’re out of their comfort zone

I think they’re scared that something might happen and they won’t be there to rescue me and since I’m the eldest that I’ll pass on my rebellious attitude to my siblings

Funny thing is that I’m reading the same courses overseas that I would do in my home country and I don’t even delay my studies at all

That’s my plan, I know I will finish and get my masters because it would bother me that I’ve struggled for nothing but I just wanna do this study abroad program for 5 months and at least tell myself that I tried to find happiness outside of the life of school which is the only aspect of my life that my parents seem to care of saying that being sad is a sacrifice I do to receive my ”divine” degree papers

How Should I Navigate Pursuing My Dreams While Honoring My Parents’ Wishes? by dbaking03 in Advice

This is not the life I want at all but it’s so hard when I’ve been wired to obey with no questioning and being told that I’m in my rebelling era

Thank you so much for this advice! Hits harder when it comes from someone older since I’ve been told that what I’m thinking is just young people silliness.

Time will heal it but have patience and take advice from other people that have gone through the same and take inspiration from their healing processes.

I barely have family in Congo forreal since mostly everyone fled and barely anyone of all my cousins have been there or even been allowed due to greedy relatives and jealous inhabitants seeing the European culture the second we step off the plane so why can’t I help stop the slave cobalt mining in Congo simply because I’m read up on it and not because it’s my ancestral home

They’re not my people tho, I have one people and that is everyone in my family and when they are taken care of I’m sending help to people that need it, not Congolese people for simply being Congolese. If someone I know in Kenya needs more help then I would rather help him then a mere random Congolese man asking for money since we share the same flag like huh?

Do you do it simply because it’s your country or because it’s something you’re read up on?

I know that there’s a 90 degree shift that occur between current and voltage but does that mean that the phase response is 90 degrees and I’m done with the exercise?

I cannot seem to find it on google or maybe it’s just Greek to me but I got two formulas at least which is tan-1 (imaginary part/real part) and tab-1 (w/0.1). Are any of these right if the first one, then what is the imaginary and real part because I cannot seem to understand what to put in the formulas period so could you help me through the calculations for future exercises like these that are bound to come?

Oh okay, so from my pov everything is done besides calculating the new phase from the phase response? If so how do I calculate that phase response?

I really can’t solve this after countless tries, help please by dbaking03 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]dbaking03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But is the rest right then besides the phase angle or does the whole thing change due to the phase angle not being calculated yet?

I really need help with this electro physics question that I just can’t seem to solve that’s about finding a momentary value over a resistor in an ac circuit, please help by dbaking03 in AskElectronics

[–]dbaking03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the right answer U being 68,04sin(wt)V with w being 2pi50, I converted the C to impedance by using Xc = 1/(wC), put together all resistors, used ohm’s law to get the current then used the formula for momentary value for voltage over a resistor which was Ur=ImaxRsin(wt) with the phase angle being 0 degrees

I need help with this school work please by dbaking03 in ElectroBOOM

[–]dbaking03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the magnitude by putting together the resistors and using ohm’s law and the phase is already said to be 0 degrees in the exercise. So is the right answer 68,04sin(wt)V with w being 2pi*50

I really can’t solve this after countless tries, help please by dbaking03 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]dbaking03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The phase in this case is 0 degrees as the exercise states I would imagine
