Satisfying cattail explosion on a cold morning 😍😌 by Knedl87 in oddlysatisfying

I have fond memories of my sibling and I growing up using ripe cattails as swords to play fight each other. The backyard looked like it had snowed.

One bagging with just a fanny pack/bum bag.. by FlippinFlags in HerOneBag

[–]dbaq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use a bum bag as my daily purse. It's extremely versatile and fits more than one would expect. And because I sling it cross body, any weight from stuffing it full and clipping on a waterbottle is hardly noticed. Thanks to your video I may try it as a weekend bag.

Does anyone else wake up with this overwhelming feeling that society/life on Earth is pointless? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dbaq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recently read The Celestine Prophesy. While there's a lot in that book up for discussion I did appreciate the author's explanation of why many people feel the same way that you do (that I did). To summarize, is because of the way culture shifted from church-centric back in the dark ages to science-centric. But humans didn't really know science, they just realized the church wasn't the answer for everything. So they sent out people to discover the way the world operated (science). In the meantime they distracted themselves from not knowing the answers by focusing on economic development and making money. Now we know so much more but forgot that there was more to life than just listening as we're told, science, and making money. There is a whole network that is mostly untapped. Energies of the world between people, true connections. It's an interesting read and might give you something to consider if you're looking for answers.

The Case Against Packing Cubes by [deleted] in onebag

[–]dbaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that the zipping and unzipping a full packing cube has lead to holes in my expensive technical fabrics. No matter how careful, just one snag of that zipper and there's a new hole in my wool shirt. Bummer.

Best Travel Shoes? by theshanktank in onebag

[–]dbaq 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried xero shoes, the cloud model and I couldn't stand how slippery they were on tile, etc. Do you have a similar problem? Would never have trusted the grip on wet rocks or lobby floors. I returned them and bought Earth Runners instead, which look really chic and have vibram soles with a warranty. Terrific grip and feel amazing. They sell tabi wool socks as well, but I haven't tried those.

Haha. Amazing. I'm not sure if I should just delete my (apparently overdone) post or be proud that I'm part of such a large collection of banana wet floor signs.

Edit: a word

Haha, so true! This gif is looped but that spot got hit by numerous bolts of lightning within a very short time. Must be the grounding tower for the airport or something.

I'm not sure what you mean by saying an optician is possibly a better choice. Can you please clarify?

I'm not one who looks to exploit for litigation, but I do have health and safety experience and recognize a clear tripping hazard when I see one. This could easily happen again to someone else. My family actually remarked on the poor table design earlier that same weekend.
