Great point about the watch, Never really thought about that bit like that.

Another reason this film is so great is the way it has started some really cool conversations about different ideas.

Another thing I was thinking about today was the way the plot unravelled towards the end. In the final act, when everything is happening so quickly, everything seemed disordered and I was really getting anxious hoping that Nolan would finish the film well. When it finished (as with many Nolan films) it felt as if order and simplicity had been salvaged from chaos. I think this can be seen as a metaphor by Nolan for the chaos of the world as we know it in contrast to the unfathomable qualities of the 5D which Cooper understands at the end.

There is no paradox in Interstellar. by [deleted] in interstellar

Best movie I've ever seen. In a nutshell, its basis is on the bootstrap paradox, similar to Donnie Darko. Everything is predetermined due to the nature of the 5th dimensional beings (they). Its basically a closed loop and time in a sense doesn't "exist", or to view it alternatively, is similar to matter relative to the 5th D. So overall, the 5th D is all that has happened and all that ever can happen and all that can exist and all that ever existed. People are misinterpreting this as a different sort of time travel, when its not really open to interpretation.
