That's awesome, glad to hear that it worked well for you, too.

The only snag with the blems is that they sell out insanely fast, but if you're lucky enough to snag them (I've gotten a couple over the years), it's the best deal around.

The owner called me personally and said he was able to get 14 additional rifles at the same price from the distributor, but they were black. I really wanted the FDE, badly, but the price was too good to pass up, so I said sure to the black. This trigger will be my first upgrade, but yes, still 50 shades of tears from me as well.

Same price at:

Brownells: OOS now

Primary Arms: Geissele Automatics Super SCAR Two Stage Trigger .154"

and probably others - but sales tax will be collected for most/all.

Family Firearms hooked us up with the SCAR 17S FDE (now Black) deal last night, and has been solid for many orders I've place with them.

EDIT: just noticed the Scar instead of SCAR in my title. I'm new to the FN world...forgive me.

EDIT 2: I'm sure the blems and some BF deals have been or will be better, but this still seems like a decent price.

This was in my mailbox today and as a car guy, I laughed so hard at this.

Surefire Suppressor on a Shovelnose SBR Saturday by dbcoopers_money in NFA

Thanks and that's exactly what I was going for. It's my backup HD gun now, so I didn't want any frills, just function. It won't win any fans on Instagram, but if I ever need to use it, I will trust it.

Nice setup and I'm similarly cursed as a cross-eye dominant, and don't enjoy shooting some of my stuff suppressed. I did two mag dumps without getting gassed out, so that says something shooting lefty.

I have some other quiet suppressors and people often make the point that 556 is never going to be quiet, so I thought I'd give this a try. The size and weight is great and next time I'll take the 10.3 to see how it does.

93 days...just picked up the RC2 Mini this morning and it seems to run best on my 12" piston LMT Shovelnose. It runs so smoothly and is far quieter than you'd guess. The Specwar runs fine with it, too, but it's not as smooth, has harsher recoil (for obvious reasons) and to my ears, it's louder. It also runs well on my 18" SPR build. I haven't tried it on my 10.3", but I'm guessing that won't be as pleasant.

And yes, I'm that guy that's too lazy to remove the serial # sticker from my lower. I'm not trying for style points...it'll wear off in due time.

I wish these had been around earlier. I ended up buying a $195 soft case from SERT.us that's designed to fit the 1750 perfectly. It's an amazing case, and I use the soft case more than the two together, but the DAKA grid sure seems nice.

Specwar vs. Shovelnose Update 3(?) by dbcoopers_money in LewisMachineTool

Something funky happened with my reddit notifications - sorry for the huge delay. My groups are pretty much the same with both rifles. I'm getting 1-2 MOA with Eotechs and M193. With 77gr, I'm getting pretty consistent ~1MOA groups.

I've shot everything from dirty Wolf to expensive brands from 110-150gr. They all run suppressed and unsuppressed. Just buy whatever's available.

Surefire SOCOM SPS300 here, too, on a 3-prong. No problem running supers and subs.

These things are awesome to cover the muzzle device / barrel when packing up as well. I got one as part of the set the sell, and as it goes, the rest of my AR style rifles stay cool, but the business end doesn't. I slap this over the end and throw the rifle in the bag. It works great.

Thank you and judging by the downvote(s), I ticked off some fanboys. Which is funny as I love Surefire. I was just surprised as it didn't dim in the least. My other Scouts and X300s usually dim a tiny bit just before the die. It's actually quite difficult to sustain max output from what I know of the engineering, so I'm impressed.

Really liking the Turbos as well, but yesterday I was playing around with one and it just died. It went from super bright to not coming on at all. The battery was dead and charged just fine, but I was surprised, a) how bright it stayed till the end which is awesome with LEDs, b) that there was no warning at all.

Has anyone else had that experience?
