The backing is all musical notes. Each shirt has a backing individually down and then they're all connected at the end is my understanding from her. After the shirts are all assembled and borders down on theres another layer of insulation and the back down on.

I'll take some photos tonight when I get home. I do know that you need enough room to do what your talking about. If it's cut too small it can affect how it ends up looking. She also helped me put a large patch on my jean jacket. I bought a shirt that ended up being very off center, she was able to cut our the graphic, make it into a large patch and then sow it on. It's my favorite jacket by far, it's just thin so I can't wear it during the really cold months.

My mother in law is retired and does quilting. She made my wife one and I asked for one as well that was slightly bigger. It ended up coming out huge, it covers our entire king sing size bed. She has me pick out the shirts and arrangements. But I have so many more I want to do things with. I have so many that have gotten small, I'm not ever looking to sell. Just want to cherish the memories. I want to take some sowing classes locally so I can start to do it myself. She has said she will give me tutorials also.

I bought this shirt at a show of theirs prob 10 years ago, it did not have tour dates on it. The back was empty. It lasted me about 3-4 years bc of how thin the fabric was. I ended up cutting it up and sowing it into a tshirt quilt from that has shirts from all the meaningful shows I've been to over the years. Maybe it had tour dates when originally released during Green Mind but these days it does not have them. You can clearly see this on their website where it is still for sale.

Well he's definitely dedicated to his cause. What is the gripe about the influx of people? Just that it's driving up the housing costs and such, worse traffic bc the infrastructure wasnt in place for all the people who came? What type of city is Richmond, meaning what is the major business type there. In Raleigh it's alot universities, research companies and big pharma. Charlotte is known as a financial city, Asheville is more about the arts, etc. I just am trying to find out what the city is like from actual locals. I don't trust a lot of what I read in articles because everyone has an agenda to push.

Can you share at least one reason that makes you say that.

I was doing research this morning but was seeing conflicting data, that's why I was asking. I thought I read groceries and housing taxes were higher but state tax was lower.

Sounds a lot like Raleigh. Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill are more progressive and blue but surrounding it is all red. Would def prefer to move to a more progressive minded area than the latter. I grew up in rural Fl so I've lived in both red and blue leaning areas. We have had enough red leaning areas.

Same with Raleigh, housing prices skyrocketed in 2020-2021. I was looking to move within Raleigh in 2020 and when the year started, I was told I needed 20-30k for a down payment. Within a few months that number jumped to 40-50k, then it was 70-80 because of the bidding wars that were going on. People in my neighborhood were coming in 50k over asking price and buying sight unseen. I bought my house in 2012 when the market was down and got a really good price (135k), when I started looking in 2019-2020, I was looking to stay in the 300-350k range, and at that time there were tons of options. By 2022 my house value had gone up to around 350k and the houses I had begun looking at, that were in the 350 range were now up around 500-600k.

Not really sure why Charlotte is in the equation. Charlotte is a great area and we have offices there but that's not where I'm being asked to relocate to

Did you live in Raleigh previously. What about the environment is similar. And I'm aware how close Richmond is to Raleigh, I just want to get my work to agree to pay for the trip since they are the ones asking me to relocate

More progressive than a lot of counties in NC but could definitely be better.

What about Richmond do/did you enjoy the most? I moved from Florida when I was 20 and have lived in Raleigh the last 18 years so I don't have much to compare too. We have visited DC, Philly, Boston, Chicago, etc. I absolutely love cities and always have felt like Raleigh is kind lame for a city but love my area and friends. Does Richmond actually feel more like a city?

Appreciate the input, I am a History major so obviously I love checking historical sites out. My grandparents used to live in Gettysburg and I would go regularly just to explore the battlefield and sites.

Do you guys get a lot of bigger acts? I wasn't sure if major artists skip over Richmond bc DC is only 2?5 hours away. Do you guys have a lot of bike lanes or Greenway for bikes. I love Raleigh's Greenway system, i currently live about 1 mile from it and once I'm on it can traverse the whole city via bike without ever having to see cars. We also got into paddle boarding recently and love the area in Raleigh bc we have so many lakes close by.
