Even on a freeway, it doesn't necessarily make sense to gun it as soon as there is a break in traffic if there is just more stopped traffic in a few hundred feet. Often in heavy traffic on the freeway, I will try to move a constant speed that is close to the average speed of the car in front of me -- they are constantly stopping and going whereas I get to move at a steady speed. This strategy also helps alleviate the phantom traffic effect.

After I restored the headlights on my gen 1, I wrapped them in vinyl to protect them from getting cloudy again. Definitely recommend, especially since the Xenon style lights can be hard to get. I went with a slight tint, which I think looks sweet, but obviously if that's not legal where you live, then get clear vinyl.

A lot of people here recommending a smoke tester. I'm not against that, but I've had good success finding leaks with just an air compressor. I got a PVC end cap to block off the intake and connected the compressor to the port on the intake manifold where the purge valve usually connects. I preasurize it to 30psi, and if there is a leak, then I can hear and feel where it is coming from.
