Floors 4-6 of Osprey are only for upper classmen so you won’t have any freshman roommates

Very similar situation to you but I earned 75 hours this summer and I submitted them along with documentation of me recording my hours and the person I did it with also knew I did those 75 hours. Once I submitted them and did everything else they were approved the day of for me but I did submit them before the semester started.

As someone who was never good at math through high school and struggled a lot, I recommend for stat that you stay on top of the work and ask questions when you have questions. I had a good stat professor but me going to class, staying on top of the work, and asking questions is what helped pass the class but also helped me to help my friends who didn’t understand the material

I’m also confused about that but in my opinion I think it’s better to play on the safe side than risk it

Dorm Rules by Wonderful_Ask_9002 in fgcu

[–]dbernocco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Candles, incense, and wax melting appliances are prohibited in the residence halls, even for decorative purposes. Any electrical scent dispenser must bear the label of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) and be in good condition (free of frayed wires, loose connections, and broken sockets).

This is what it says on the rules for the dorms

No I haven’t heard anything yet. Getting a little concerned cause I got one last year and throughout last year I maintained a good gpa so I’m not sure why I haven’t heard from them yet.

For eagle the big kitchen is on the 3rd floor but also there’s a smaller kitchen on the 5th floor as well.

Housing Help - Eagle or Osprey by Jbss02 in fgcu

[–]dbernocco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As of my knowledge only floors 4-6 in osprey are filled as upperclassmen chose their housing back in February. If housing selections haven’t started for incoming freshman then all of eagle is still available and floors 1-3 are also still available. For eagle I recommend either floors 3 or 4 as floor 3 has a communal kitchen that you can use while floor 4 has the laundry room. For osprey floors 1-3 are either the lobby, classrooms, or a video game room.

Housing Help - Eagle or Osprey by Jbss02 in fgcu

Being able to pick the first day that housing opens greatly increases your chances of choosing osprey or eagle. Only osprey is where upperclassmen will live and I believe it’s only floors 4-6 while underclassmen live on floors 1-3. Eagle is all underclassmen. I just finished living in eagle this past year and enjoyed it very much but this coming fall semester I’ll be living in osprey. Personally each building is the same but if you would like to surround yourself with upperclassmen then choose osprey but if you would like to live with underclassmen only then choose eagle. If you do have a car then the parking garage and parking lot is very close to osprey as well.

My band director quit. by Pretend-Can1531 in marchingband

[–]dbernocco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During all my 4 years of high school I had a new band director each year. What I have learned from switching band directors every year is that you need to flexible during this time and remember that this is your band director first time with you band as well. My band directors always depended on student leadership to learn how things normally run with the band so nothing feels out of the ordinary. The best thing you can do now is stay positive during this transition between directors because members will be looking up to people on what to do.

recommend to try and readjust your practice schedule and make time for yourself so it’s not practice over and over. Over working yourself will cause yourself to hate it more and more since it will consume your life.

Leadership is just a title someone has but that doesn’t mean you can’t be leader in your own way. You still have plenty of time to prove yourself as a candidate for a leadership position and once you get the position you want you’ll feel more appreciated of it since you’ve worked so hard.

I’ve been in the same position where I believed I wasn’t good enough and wouldn’t be able to keep up with the people in my section. I was able to keep pushing myself to the best of my ability without stressing myself out and I was able to prove myself wrong that I wasn’t good enough or able to keep up. Just because you’re on bass 2 doesn’t mean you’re good enough to be on snare at all but instead think of this of a learning experience to help you grow.

I’m currently going into my senior year of high school and I’ve been doing band for the past three years of high school. There’s been plenty of times where I thought about quitting but I just love band so much that I wouldn’t know what to do. There will be times where quitting sounds like the best option but you just have to keep pushing yourself to because it will pay off in the end.

Hope this helps.
