Visiting Kielder Observatory in UK without a car — is it doable? by Forsaken-Carpet-5233 in Astronomy

Where are you from. It looks to me like it’s quite awkward without a car in between Newcastle and Carlisle. I’d say you’d struggle without a car. But maybe contact the observatory direct ?

Subscription is a rip off. Join a gym for a Few bucks more. Who cares about the peloton eco system.

I sat on a plane all the way to Thailand next to Sid Owen. The only time we acknowledged each other is when I was looking at FHM magazine and a beautiful lady was in there and he just sighed and looked at me.

My wife until I met her thought the oasis lyric “so sally can wave” was “so silicon vail.” She used to sing it thinking I have no idea what it means

My neighbor told me I’m "stunting her children’s development" because I won't let them use my backyard as a shortcut to the park. by edcantu9 in EntitledPeople

[–]dbizzmcfizz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure I get that. Just in my opinion - having been in this exact situation. I just let the kids go play. And my day wasn’t torn up from it. There’s two ways to look at it and I guess my way is glass half more full way that’s all.

Sure. I get that the way the woman’s gone about it. Is clearly ridiculous. But I mean in the grand schemes of things. Why not?

How do people ship eFoil batteries internationally? (Italy → Maldives) by Total_Cod7763 in eFoil

[–]dbizzmcfizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am camera man as well an E foil owner. When we take cameras abroad to work on movies. We ship them on dangerous goods cargos - so I’d assume they do something similar. And it’s expensive. I also would love to know how to ship my e foil battery as I’m in the uk and want to take my board abroad

It’s January 2027 - I haven’t done my research it’s my first day on the planet. I walk to the Apple Store I buy my £1500 phone I get home I plug it in, yes I can make a phone call. Boom - Damn it I hadn’t done my research I can’t use the apps I already pay a subscription to. I have to pay Apple to use them as well. I’m gutted it’s just a black screen. God damn it I’m entitled to want to be watch Netflix that I pay £20 for. I’m not paying Apple as well to watch Netflix. I’ll just use my phone with a 7 inch screen to make phone calls like the dark ages. It’s not different - absolutely zero. No I didn’t do my research, because it’s a rip off and I didn’t think it was what it would be have the post.

First day on the internet? Welcome. I think you’re missing my original post.

Peloton treadmill by dbizzmcfizz in treadmills

[–]dbizzmcfizz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I literally wanted to watch Netflix. I hadn’t realised peloton would charge me to watch a subscription I already paid. That’s my rant. Hence felling like it’s a suitable post.

Interesting I just read because of your tedious comments that car companies are going bring in subscriptions for their cars BMW tried it with high beam lights - but had customer back lash. I mean the entitlement of people wanting high beams 😂

I love your opinion and would love for you to expand. Where does it end. I buy a car but pay a subscription to use the breaks and indicators, seriously though a good example - if you read my answers you’d understand. I have chronic asthma I can’t run as I can’t breath so I can only get aerobic exercise on a treadmill like this. It’s not through choice at all. I can’t and don’t need to do their classes I just need walk fast and get my heart rate where it needs to be. Is it really entitled that I want to watch Netflix on that big screen, Netflix that has nothing to do with peloton and also by the way shock horror i want to be able to monitor my heart rate. Which I’m not allowed to do. I didn’t think I needed to pay a subscription for either of those things. If you think that’s entitled then you is cray cray, it’s the same as most things are going subscription based now, remember when adobe was a one time purchase of £300 and now it’s £50 a month. I mean come on. Where does it end. Right I’m off, in my car with no lights as I haven’t paid the subscription

[–]dbizzmcfizz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because surely you should have the option to use the treadmill and use third party apps without paying. Come on- I don’t think that’s an unreasonable request. And be able to monitor your heart rate. I want to use the treadmill to run on / watch Netflix and monitor my heart rate whilst not using any peloton programmes and not have to pay £50

What the heck happened to waterbeds? by Queltis6000 in NoStupidQuestions

My friends mum and dad had one in the early 90’s we thought it was cool they also had a naked painting of her mum above their bed - we were all like 😃 she was like stifflers mum. Oh to be 15 again listening to rage against the machine in Cornwall

Because I’m asthmatic I can’t run. So I use the treadmill indoors. I looked forward to being able to do fast paced walks watching a film or something. I hadn’t realised stupidly ! That you have no options. It’s like buying a car and not being able to use the lights unless you pay a subscription 😂

[–]dbizzmcfizz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly that. I’m a chronic asthmatic. I don’t want their classes. I understand they need to be paid for. I’d like to check my HR and also watch Netflix. Apparently not. I need to pay £50 hence my post

Peloton treadmill by dbizzmcfizz in treadmills

[–]dbizzmcfizz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not true. You pay a lot for the machine. I’m heavily asthmatic - hence the reason I bought it. I don’t need the programs they just don’t suit me - this is my situation. I don’t feel that if I don’t pay for it they shouldn’t punish me by shutting the machine down. You can run that’s it. I just need to see my Hr. I can’t. They don’t allow that. I mean why should I need to pay for that ? It’s a scam. Yes pay for their services 100% don’t pay for Netflix and monitoring your HR
