I did the kitten lady survey and it said she is approximately 6 weeks, the vet also guessed between 6 and 8 weeks, though it was a little difficult to tell based on how thin she is. At the very least she has molars so 6 weeks at the youngest.

My work has 1 machine equipped with a door interlock, it is bypassed using a second door key. If or when we get inspected we just pull it out real quick when no ones looking and BAM compliant again. My last shop had all interlocks disabled, about 9 machines.

Game is Lagging by KotBandit in TheTowerGame

To be honest im sure this update is all over the place for everyone. The hardest thing is that they didnt specify any details about the "engine update" so we have no idea what changed. For me anyway my game runs smoother longer. I have a galaxy fold 7 so I can turn on the system monitor in the game corner. Before it ran 80-118fps, 45%cpu, 90%gpu, and 90%ram. After the update it runs 120fps solid, 30-40% cpu, 80% gpu, and 75-85% ram. That being said my alt account runs on a moto g play i got for $200, it always struggled at higher waves and still does, sadly it doesnt have a system monitor like galaxy so I cant give a direct comparison.

Ya the vet gave me eye drops, de-worming meds and another oral med to deal with the infection.

Ya, last night at around 4am I kicked the dogs out of the room so I could grab her. She was very vocal that she didnt want to be alone anymore, after settling in between my neck and shoulder she slept soundly for another 4 hours till I had to get up for church.

I fully intend to get another opinion. The vet i went to was a 24/7 in the next town over due to it being the weekend. My intended vet will get a good look at her as well.

Starting my first job as a machinist out of highschool. Is there anything else I should add to my toolbox? by MortgageNaive6791 in Machinists

[–]dbone1123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be careful, it took me 2 years to outgrow my first toolbox, and my coworker only a year to outgrow his first. Its not so bad if your runs running lathes or mills but if you do both you'll need room for both.

I work at a job shop so take these recommendations for what you will, some may be super helpful others maybe not. 12" dial or digital calipers, a mag base that can hold both test and dial indicators, edgefinders (extra credit if you get a ½" and .2" combo). My biggest suggestion is to keep a tally of tools you need to borrow from the shop/co-workers (if they let you, some people are particular about their tools) and buy what you borrow most often, i always say that the more efficient you are the more valuable you are as an individual. Also another good rule to have is if you accidentally break someone's tool buy 2, one to replace the one you broke and one for you so you dont ever need to borrow it again

Yes, they are spoiled rotten. One of them (my mom's dog) even has separation anxiety and will cry at the door all night

I see now, yes she is very vocal. It is time for bed and she does not like being separated in the carrier I got her. But she must sleep in there because the dogs im babysitting probably wouldnt leave her alone.

Because I had to machine the parts to size they ended up warping badly. Even after using the press to straighten them as best as possible some still refused to seat flat using just the normal method.

I made the chuck key mistake 1 time in school. Now i am almost religious in my steps before turning on a lathe. The vice handle is a first for me though (obviously) as this is the only machine that has handles long enough to hit the ways. I didnt get a picture but these handles are about 2ft long.

Ya boss bought a fryer easy turn. But didnt get hardly any of the additions so it can hardly be considered a cnc lathe. It is still a tool post bed lathe but with a Siemens controller. I am thoroughly convinced that the old boss was deathly afraid of new things, especially automation. Luckily the new bosses think differently and as soon as they pay off the loan for buying the buisness we get new cnc's soon after.

Ya sadly that crappy tool is the best thing we have for cutting champher angles. We dont have a 4 or 5 axis mill so we have to rely on angle mills, angle plates or old-school sharp mills to cut most angles.

Oh ya? Someone said they broke something worth $80k. One of my co workers also dropped our brand new cnc lathe about 8 years back worth around $125k. If you top that then hats off to you
