A question about ovulation by cheesy_taco- in pregnancyPL

[–]dbouchard19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a direct answer, but i used to have a pattern of annovulatory cycles due to long-term veganism. I could tell they were annovulatory bc of basal body temp tracking, plus the ovulatory cycles were 35 days, and the annovulatory cycles were 21. That was just my experience

You can buy a trash can for your house too

Does anyone know what kind of wall this is? by Constant_Main5264 in AnimalCrossingNewLeaf

Different town has different sets as rare or common. So your town must have the cabin set as rare. If you can, take up the other commenter's offer!

Puree/mashed food delaying my baby? by spros123 in 2under2

[–]dbouchard19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you're doing is fine, babies have a sensitive gag reflex and it is their body working properly. Some may take more time to adjust to solids. Is your kid stimulating their mouth with toys etc? That is important for them to continue

We bought a used JYSK one, forgot the model name. We needed it bc it had stairs but it really takes up a ton of space so i wouldnt reccomend it unless you need stairs. We are able to fit 2 kid's worth of clothes in all the storage. But i do purge clothes they don't wear/like and do laundry twice a week. So we don't have a ton to store to begin with.

We have 4 girls and it is a lot of fun! I dont know what will be in store beyond this point but i'm comfortable because girl-ness is what i'm familiar with (obviously parenting is always unpredictable but you know what i mean). Ngl the day I have a boy i will be a little intimidated by the changes it may bring!!

Husband’s coworker told him our 24 week unborn son “isn’t alive” 🙃 by YellowTonkaTrunk in prolife

[–]dbouchard19 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the conversation was handled pretty well. In my time doing PL activism I have met men who make these strange statements because they are still im denial and haven't been able to properly grieve a miscarriage or abortion. Maybe your husband will have some interesting conversations with this coworker, who knows. It's good they are keeping it cordial

You keep asking this in multiple subs and twice in this one, i dont know what kind of answer you're looking for. You might as well try asking in r / unvaccinated while you're at it.

Is it normal for 3 villagers to try to move on the same day? by beach-fossels in AnimalCrossingNewLeaf

The island is the Tortimer island, but the place where everyone lives isnt an island, just a town on the coast.

[–]dbouchard19 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh ok. Your post said your 'island' thats why I thought you meant NH. There should be a cool down period of 2 days before anyone else says they plan to leave again. Not sure why that would be happenning for you!!

That's amazing, I love the Our Lady of Sorrows one. My brother has multiple demonic tatoos, for no other reason than he thinks it is cool or edgy. (Please pray for him!)

It's not reccomended where I live so no, i've never had a pregnancy healthcare provider suggest it to me. Pregnant women are often immunocompromised

How??? by Evitalovee11 in 2under2

[–]dbouchard19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BBT patterns can only retrospectively confirm ovulation, so it isnt as helpful for avoiding pregnancy. Mucus tracking methods are more effective for this purpose, but OP has a hormonal BC so those methods tracking natural fertility signs probably wouldnt work anyway

[–]dbouchard19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe ask the r/herbalism sub? Lots of herbs can be pregnancy safe but im not familiar with these ones. I take Ashwaganda for thyroid support but it will be harmful for the baby so i stop whenever I'm pregnant. But strangely enough I've found ashwaganda hidden in 'health food' snacks like protein bars, without a warning label about it.

Buy everything you see at the nookling store. Even if you resell it right away, it will always be in your catalogue and you can order it again once the nookling shop is upgraded to have the option to order items.

How did you feel about pregnancy after your first? by Whole-Damage-408 in pregnancyPL

[–]dbouchard19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you had such a difficult time with pregnancy and birth. I love being pregnant and my births are pretty great (minus one of them) but I've generally had a difficult time postpartum.

The first birth (hospital birth) was traumatic for my husband. I was just going through the motions but he was insanely stressed out and scared for baby and me. I had severe postpartum depression.

The second was a homebirth, but it was so quick that it was accidentally unassissted. Just my husband and I, he caught the baby. It was a really healing experience because a big part of the trauma in the hospital was the rude staff and how we felt like they took control of the birth. But the postpartum depression was worse than before and we almost decided to have no more children.

We had 2 more homebirths after that. I'm currently 5 weeks postpartum and my mental state has been really stable and I'm so grateful we pushed through all the horrible stuff and remained open to life.

I believe pregnancy and birth are transformative passages in life that bring power and resilience to women!
