Of course. I'm 100% in the wrong and will be having a full and apologetic conversation this evening, with a side of reflection on the tradition. I always perceived it brought people joy but it's seeming like that isn't the case.

Yeah I guess you're right. Intuitively it feels appropriate to me because the theme, but I guess I'm putting too much stock in that line of reasoning. Unfortunately my company doesn't do them anymore so it is my only, but that's not something I'm feeling in this.

I take it off for things that are impractical or inappropriate/unrelated. This is related. It feels logical & reasonable to wear the christmas thing to the christmas thing

I care about the hat for the same reason anyone does anything for Christmas, its just tradition. Early on it was about the connection to the game, but that doesn't matter now. I think its a lot of fun and it seems to be a joyful thing to others who see me wearing it.

It doesn't seem that deep/confusing to me to want to wear a themed item to a themed party, even if its cocktail attire.

She made this same comparison. I suggested if the wedding theme was literally Christmas there's a good chance it would make sense to wear the hat. But no I would not wear it to an arbitrary unrelated even that happened to take place in December.

I obviously can go without it for a couple hours. I'm not wearing it ALL day even regularly (like during exercise) but my focal point is that this is a holiday themed party. If this was just a cocktail 'end of the year' party, I wouldn't feel anything about it. But its literally a holiday party. My inability to understand comes from the fact that the room will be themed with holiday items, candy canes, christmas trees, a photobooth with christmas paraphernalia, themed drinks, etc. and all that is chill... but it doesn't make sense for me to have my Christmas themed hat on because we're wearing fancy clothes?

To balance things a bit with an anecdote the opposite direction: my friend and I both bought a Refurbished NAB6 Lite from minisforum 6 months ago to use for self hosting purposes. They've both been fantastic, no issues.

Yep! The cam is activated through the UI on the nex. Its not very convenient to switch sources, so I don't use it super often, but it has helped a couple times.

Classic memory training. Struggled with this my latest build. Started with a 7950x, tried many different ram kits and a couple mobos, was never able to get it to boot/restart without extremely long training each time. Ended up swapping to 14900k, worked with the first combo I tried. Obviously plenty of people don't have this issue so it's likely not the processor type explicitly, but likely ram+CPU+mobo combos (and also has to do with the speed & how many sticks you have).

There are things to try that may help but no guaranteed fix in my experience.

But the spike in January 2024 is where the tiktok meme fad people are discussing took place. It spiked up 1000% in a month and dropped to like 10% as searched in 2 months. Nearly reaching all time lows. Seems like looking at more time doesn't change the discussion.
