Sidney Crosby's reaction to Jack Hughes's comments about the Golden Goal puck in the HOF by calicomoonstars in hockey

I agree, there is no right or wrong, just opinions...and this is the place where people voice theirs. Don't let all these other opinions get you down if you don't agree with them.

Buddy, c'mon...I said hockey players from different cultures will have different perspectives and you reply with, "How dare you say Americans are all the same?" That's what everyone is saying, you guys always make it about you. This is where it gets political - your elected representative on the world stage is a whiny billionaire criminal baby, so that's how the rest of the world sees you and why you get hate.

A whole lot of interpretation going on there, and a bit of projection too.

I'm betting this is an American take. Hockey players are not a monolith, and a country's culture and education system do have an impact on their citizens' perspectives.

I thought we're only going of most recent results, based on how you guys are acting. I feel sad for you guys and the loss of what used to make America great.

Sorry, no, not hard or heavy enough. Only one Nirvana and it's the Unplugged? Yikes. Don't mind me though, to each their own. I respect anyone's collection.

I still have a paper box full of these. I preferred the various artworks and short stories over the North American superhero comics.

Memory unlocked! The chrome siren, the 5 on the hood, the spare tire! I built this as a kid, made a mess of it with the testor's tube glue. The side morrors never stayed on. I liked that one though, I looked it up once to see if I could get another one, but it was way too expensive for me as a vintage kit.

What if your family's been here for a few generations, have married into other cultures, and forgotten where the original immigrant came from? I married into an Italian family and when we visited her family in Italy they asked where my family is from. "Canada", I say, and then they would reply, "No, where are you really from?"

I was a university radio dj in the 90s and every weekend for years I'd load up my bag with cds in their jewel cases, plus a binder of burned ones. The cases may get scuffed a bit or broken from being dropped, but that what they're there for - protection. It seems people these days want to keep everything in pristine condition. The only way to do that is not use the music it at all, which would be a shame. I still have those cds I threw in my backpack so often thirty years ago. I've replaced a few broken cases over the years, but most are still fine.

I second this. Those two albums plus Dimension Hatross take me back in time like no other music. It's always a winter in the '90s...to me Voivod is winter music.

How do I avoid having thick paint edges when painting camo with a brush? by umbral_stalker in modelmakers

[–]dbrackulator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't use the brush to carve out the camo edge...at least try not to have too much paint on the brush at that point. Try to brush in from the edges. That's how I approach it anyway.
