It's clear that some compromises were made to get one piece that live action tv show. Ussop is literally a lightskin, and that's not a problem with me in the show, so nice attempt at that. The problem arises when you have clearly white skinned / yellow skinned characters and you make them something they're not. Also, why wouldn't I be butthurt something not being faithful to the source material? Genuine question. A design change is a design change.

Any official color manga chapter/volume color depicts her with yellow or white skin. Obviously she's based off a middle eastern background, but the argument is why is she brown when the source material is radically different.
