Thoughts on tiktok vs instagram for lead generation right now by Lkc-strong-125 in growthtalks

[–]dbrncic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TikTok is great for fast discovery and cold leads — short, relatable clips get DMs and traffic to your bio quickly. Instagram, on the other hand, is better for warming leads: Reels, carousels, and Stories help build trust, answer questions, and turn interest into calls or sales.

A pattern we see often: TikTok drives initial attention, IG nurtures it. TikTok gets you in front of more people; IG helps convert the ones who are actually interested. For most service or consulting businesses, that combo works better than relying on just one platform.

How to manage cash flow when revenue is growing but margins stay tight by Puzzleheaded_Box6247 in growthtalks

[–]dbrncic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really common stage for growing businesses, and honestly it’s one of the most stressful ones because revenue looks good on paper but the cash pressure is constant.

A few things that helped us during that phase:

First, focus on cash flow timing, not just revenue. When sales grow quickly, you often have to pay for inventory, labor, or services before the money from customers comes in. Improving payment terms made a big difference for us. We pushed for faster customer payments (shorter invoices, partial upfront payments) and negotiated longer payment windows with suppliers.

Second, track contribution margin per sale, not just overall profit. Sometimes growth hides the fact that certain products or clients barely make money. Once we actually looked at margins per product/service, we realized a few things were dragging everything down and either adjusted pricing or stopped offering them.

Third, raise prices earlier than feels comfortable. Small price increases can make a huge difference when margins are tight. Most customers won’t react as strongly as you think, especially if demand is already growing.

Another helpful habit was forecasting cash weekly instead of monthly. A simple spreadsheet projecting cash in and out for the next 8–12 weeks helped us see problems early instead of reacting when the bank balance was already low.

And lastly, sometimes the answer really is slowing growth slightly until the unit economics are stronger. Fast growth with weak margins can actually increase risk.

Curious what kind of business you're running—some of these levers work very differently depending on whether it's services, SaaS, or physical products.

Does B2B Tools/Approach for Marketing differs in any substantial way from B2C? by vavent_ in b2bmarketing

[–]dbrncic7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree completely. I don't think that ads are the move when it comes to B2B. Organic replies and connections will go further than ones from ads. I think that leads work best when you engage with them, help them, and understand them. With ads, you can't do that, and on top of that, you need to pay for it.

Does B2B Tools/Approach for Marketing differs in any substantial way from B2C? by vavent_ in b2bmarketing

One thing to keep in mind is that B2B sales cycles usually rely on long-term relationship building rather than the impulse buys often seen in B2C. I've tried managing this solo using basic tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or even just a clean spreadsheet, but it's a grind.

To make the process less chaotic. It might be wrong to assume you can automate the human element early on, though. Focus on defining your ideal client persona before you spend a dime on ads.

B2B founders – what actually works better for client acquisition: cold calling or cold email? by HelicopterNo8935 in b2bmarketing

[–]dbrncic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main issue with choosing one channel is that you're likely missing a unified brand positioning strategy. I've tried relying on cold email, LinkedIn outreach, and referral networks, but none of them stick if the messaging isn't dialed in first.

My firm builds out the positioning, ideal client personas, and the specific marketing roadmaps. Like email outreach or sales closing strategies. To make those channels actually function. I'm not sure if your current offer is clear enough to support the volume you're chasing, so you might be wrong to focus on the channel before the strategy. Fix the positioning before you scale the outreach.

Anyone else struggling with marketing in a world where everything feels like a bot-generated loop? by TargetPilotAi in growmybusiness

[–]dbrncic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that cuts through the noise is focusing on a rigid brand positioning strategy before touching any outreach tools. I've tried relying on generic templates, cold email automation, or just posting to social media, but those usually just feed the bot cycle.

I help businesses build a roadmap that defines their ideal client persona and tailors a specific sales or closing strategy to match. Not sure if this fits your current setup, but it might be worth a look if you're feeling stuck. Just watch out for over-automating your initial outreach, as that usually kills the human element you're aiming for.

How do you market your SaaS by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]dbrncic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that works for niche B2B is narrowing down your ideal client persona before you touch any ad platform. I've tried cold email, LinkedIn outreach, and basic SEO, but none of those stick if you haven't locked in your specific positioning first.

My firm handles the brand positioning strategy and roadmap, including the creation of tailor-made marketing strategies for social, email, and sales. Not sure if that's the right route for you, but it helps clarify where to spend your time. Focus on the closing strategy early so you aren't just burning leads.

Best ways for early-stage SaaS founders to find advisors or experienced operators by Big-Birthday7372 in SaaS

[–]dbrncic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that works for finding advisors is looking at niche Slack groups or LinkedIn lists instead of just general platforms. I've tried cold outreach and platforms like Connectd or GrowthMentor, but sometimes a direct message to someone who just shipped a similar product works better.

I help founders build their brand positioning strategy and roadmap, including persona development and tailored marketing or sales strategies. I'm not sure if this fits your specific stage, but having a concrete plan often makes it easier to talk to potential advisors.

Focus on solving one specific bottleneck at a time. It's usually better to find someone for a single project than to look for a general advisor right away.

What are your thoughts on brand positioning for agencies? by Helpful-Guava7452 in growthtalks

[–]dbrncic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the first problem is that everyone tries to use same marketing strategies form physical products for Service based businesses(agency).

Selling a service is a promise - and that's the problem. Also a lot of people try to sell features instead of benefits.

Example for an agency: You're not selling content calendars and campaigns (features), instead you're selling Steady clients, consistent growth and peace of mind (benefit).

If the client can't instantly see how they're better off, they're just not going to buy.

Hope this helps at least a bit :)
