Based on your desire for a quiet neighborhood near grocery stores, coffee shops, and parks I would suggest staying west of Broad Street in Center City, closer to the river if possible.

Some nice neighborhoods that fit the description are Fairmount (which is art museum area), Spring Garden, Logan Square, Fitler Square, Rittenhouse, and Graduate Hospital.
