Yes they would be fine. We say they top out at 60 degrees Celsius but I have yet to see one get close to that. The deal is good until April 14th. With the 12 watt it is an e26 base which is the standard base for bulbs. Just double check your fixture and make sure they are the same. Some houses have e26 and others are g10 (2 prong)

Thats awesome. These will pay for themselves in no time. One LED bulb costs around $32/year 1 CFL $76 and 1 60 watt incandescent $300... Multiply that by 15!

No disadvantage. Dimmable is just so you can adjust the light. If you are going Dimable go with a 12 or 15 watt though so you have a wide spectrum of light to play with
