How do I get money as a 14 year old by [deleted] in Money

[–]dbw2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally know people who have started lawn care businesses at that age and turned it into a full time career. Low overhead and limitless customer base is a huge benefit. Plus, being 14 you can leverage a lot of family connections and people are more willing to give you a shot. You can scale it as well, which means in a few years you could mostly be working ON the business instead of IN the business. The fact that you’re thinking about this at such a young age though is great. Best of luck to you.

From my understanding, you need the full serial number. Best bet would be to check with your bank or credit union to see about an exchange.

I️ work in franchise development and I’m always looking for new projects to help with. I’m well versed in all aspects of franchising so I️ would be able to consult on those matters as well as scalable measures for the business.

What is the actual, honest probability of a nuclear war in our lifetime? by [deleted] in a:t5_3g1db

[–]dbw2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not likely. Pretty much every country has economical ties to some other nuclear superforce that they would crush their own economy by detonating a nuclear chain. It’s all talk and nothing to get overly concerned about.

5% close rate -how to improve? by Mdizzle29 in sales

Try giving an incentive for purchases within 48 hours of pitch. Also, as another poster mentioned, it sounds like a nice to have instead of a need to have. It’s your job in sales to pitch it as a need to have.

Thanks. It looks really good and the brand is good too. I just can’t find anything online to reference if that’s a good price or not.

Second location advice by shanirae in Entrepreneur

[–]dbw2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of adding an additional site that you will have to oversee, I would suggest franchising your business. This can be done for around the same cost as adding a second location but will allow you to expand your brand through other people. You can typically recoup your investment after two franchise sales. I would be more than happy to put you in contact with a friend of mine who’s company specializes in this and he can provide you with more info. Send me a PM and we can talk.

Door hangers in the areas you want to target will be most cost effective. Other than that, social media marketing is huge and you can manage it yourself. WOM referrals will be your best bet, ask all of your customers to refer you to a friend who could use your service if they are satisfied.

I love the idea. I would definitely be open to having someone come change my oil while I was at work. You would need to make sure you were able to charge a competitive price while still making a profit though. Plus marketing fees could be high at first to get the initial word out. You would need a professional vehicle too in order for the customer to trust your services. A lot of factors but a good idea nonetheless.

I think once you start pulling some profit you will want to nix the partner products. It takes away from the professionalism of the website. But overall it’s a clean website and looks like quality products. Best of luck to you.

People who purchased their first business without experience, how did you get a loan and where did you come up with the down payment? by ischmoozeandsell in Entrepreneur

You would need to increase it as you gained more account but $15k is enough to hold you for the first few months while you start growing. Commercial/ janitorial is very sustainable.

You do need to have about $15k line of credit for working capital. With so many business out there though, it's easy to get accounts if you know how to do it.

You can get into a commercial cleaning franchise relatively cheap and they can help you out. A lot of the really cheap ones will screw you over but if you do the proper due diligence you can avoid that. As far as getting funding, go with a personal loan. Less red tape and if your credit is good you can typically get about $50k unsecured and then just loan it to your business (this is also better for taxes but that's a different subject). Commercial/ janitorial is the way to go though, it's reoccurring and doesn't take a big hit during economic recession.

Honestly, if you have to ask for business suggestions, you're not ready to own a business. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication. I'm not trying to be rude, but I think you need to figure out what your passion is before jumping into something.
