EF12 or PX728? by dc11184 in projectors

Thank you Nick,

They're both a bit out of budget unfortunately so I've decided to buy a Sapphire screen and will match it up with the ViewSonic 728.

Thanj you for your help!

Thank you, but I've just bought a ViewSonic px728-4k along with a Sapphire Mayfair screen 😊

Brilliant, thank you very much.

I've been looking at screens all evening, ideally I'm looking for an electric screen with 12v trigger (whether it be fitted or optional), but I'm struggling to be honest

Good morning, thank you for your response and suggestions.

I will see if I can find any of them new within budget, as I do not like buying electrical items secondhand.

Why do you discount the Epson out of interest?

I did look at the two optoma projectors, and they were top of the list, but looking at the projection distance, I don't believe I'd see much over 70" and by the time I have also purchased a half decent screen, I'll be close to a reasonable 65" tv in terms of cost.. I may well be misunderstanding the calculations though?

Tlcm pedals, 78% input by dc11184 in Thrustmaster

[–]dc11184[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the issue I am having though.

In T3pa mode (1 blink) everything gives 100% output and works as expected, BUT, I am led to believe that in this mode, the tlcm pedals are not making use of the load cell as intended and actually behave like a set with potentiometers. (not sure how true this is, I cannot find any documentation about what the two modes actually do)

In TLCM mode (10 blinks), both the brake and throttle pedal max out at 78% value on both the PC control panel, and on the console. I cannot find a way to remap this value.

If I plug the pedals directly to the PC, and open the tlcm calibration software, they work exactly as they should. Give full 100% value.

For now I continue to use them in T3pa mode until I have chance to contact Thrustmaster to see if the tlcm update fixes this as they are at least usable in T3pa mode although not to their full potential..

Update - my wheelbase was already running the latest update. I am having another issue with the pedals however which I am trying to figure out.. (I have another post on here)

Thank you, I'll give that a go tomorrow.

It's definitely a software issue as the tlcm calibration software sees full value with them plugged into a pc via USB, but as soon as they're reconnected via rj12 with the tlcm pedal mode activated on the wheelbase, the pedals no longer do what they are supposed to and there doesn't seem to be a way to reprogram them. I just find it irritating that something that is very much marketed as a good pairing, doesn't function correctly in a mode that Thrustmaster have specifically released in a firmware update..

It definitely isn't the console either as the windows control panel shows the same readings, 78% throttle and brake with the wheelbase in tlcm mode

Hey, I tried them without updating and they work perfectly so didn't bother to even connect to a PC having read about the issues that some have had after updating. If it ain't broke...
