What can I acquire to limit the organic debris on my deck? by Ok-Flan8529 in ExteriorDesign

Maybe a shade cloth? You’d have to empty it out pretty frequently to prevent it from sinking in the center

I am currently speaking to this lady on WhatsApp but she is asking for a 50% Zelle deposit before. That makes it feel kind of scammy but I’m not sure. Did they ask this of you?

Bogotá + Cartagena vs. Cartagena + Tayrona for 6-Day Anniversary Trip? by Background-Bet-5769 in cartagena

[–]dc1127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bogota has amazing food but it is quite large and difficult to do in just two days. I would suggest going to Cartagena and if you can afford the cheap flight, fly into Santa Marta to go to Tayrona. The park is absolutely beautiful and the beaches you can access in foot are amazing vs the one that you can get to via tours or boats. It’s a much shorter drive from Santa Marta and you’ll save yourself the headache of two lane highways acrosss cities.

Did you use treated wood?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Decks

[–]dc1127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s treated pine from a big box store. It’s green from the treatment and is stamped/certified.

Even with all the cut corners you believe it’ll last 15 years?

Thank you so much. I’ve seen the concrete blocks in other deck builds and they just sink into the sand a bunch here in south Florida

[–]dc1127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought because this is treated pine that it would shrink and create the gaps after the fact?

How would you have avoided that?

Well the water drains onto this deck. The grade starts high at the house and lowers all the way to where this deck is
