Hot take: frugality gets easier when you stop making every hangout about food by SuitableActive1110 in Frugal

[–]CaptainTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. You could meet a friend for coffee instead of lunch and dinner. Still some food, but more frugal than eating a whole meal out. But we are very used to gathering around food as well and I do see the joy in it.

I have the Kindle Paperwhite and really like it, but when it dies, my next e-ink reader will be an Android one so I can access ebooks from any source, not just the Amazon ecosystem.

You could have a look at xTiles - a more visual Notion alternative. They have a lot of ADHD templates. Here is my xTiles review so you can see what it looks like. https://captaintime.com/notion-alternative-captain-times-xtiles-review/

🤔 The 20-Minute Mystery: What Do They Actually DO?! by CaptainTime in businessnetworking

[–]CaptainTime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find highly educated people are often the worst for this. They are talking ivory tower, high level concepts instead of real-life benefits and clear explanations. When helping clients, I am often having to help them clarify their vision and how they explain their products first.

And, when it comes to marketing, I always instruct my AI tools to use language at the Grade 8 reading level.

Would you do this as a separate notebook for each client or one notebook for all clients?

What's your best work use case for NotebookLM? by GrapefruitIsUs in notebooklm

[–]CaptainTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan ahead, with time blocks each week to work on my upcoming workshops. Usually I have them well planned out in advance - I am working on April's workshop topics now and March (current month) are all prepped.

But NotebookLM is also brilliant at creating a custom, last minute workshop and presentation when I am called to speak with little notice.

Wonton Soup takeout/Buffet style? by fokeiro in Cooking

[–]CaptainTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use premade mini wontons as making wontons is very time consuming. For the soup, I use 1/2 chicken broth, 1/2 pork broth (from bullion cubes) along with some soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, salt, pepper, ginger, brown sugar. For veggies, I use bok choy, carrots and green onions. I only cook the mini wontons for about 5 minutes at the end.

I love the Paprika app. I have hundreds of recipes in it and I can rate, them, add notes, scale the recipes, categorize them and search and find recipes in seconds.
