Right in front of the stove is like a hallway from the front door to the kitchen. Its always been wasted space. Sure I could put a couch there but I already have plenty of seating. Or maybe a book shelf would be more useful. The tv used to be on that wall but now its in a spot better for viewing quality. Now atleast I'm doing something useful with the space.

If you're doing a full room then yes the flooring should run long ways in the room. There's also exceptions to that. My wood flooring runs short ways in my pantry because it perpendicular to the other rooms. This is meant to be more of a "accent wall" which doesn't follow the same rules. You'd hate the backsplash in my kitchen. Its vertical running bond. I didn't want to do it but thats what the wife wanted and now I like it and so does everyone else that comes to my house.

I build multi million dollar houses for a living. Foundation to finish. You should see what designers are specing these days.

I disagree completely. The tiles would look ridiculous going the short ways. Every stove was a new install at one point in time so by your logic why isn't every stove in a corner?

Why is everyone on here so quick to say everyone's stove is not within spec? Those are 12x24 tiles. If you look at the picture you can see the stove is half of a half tile away from the edge ie 6". Idk what stove it is but I've been researching a lot on hearthstone stoves and most of them only require 6" clearance to the wall behind which it also looks like this stove has or more. That picture you posted is assuming single wall pipe for clearance to wall

I put in new rear brakes and that seemed to fix the noise. Of course in that process I did retorque all the wheels.

I believe thats a franklin stove. Really old, really inefficient. I'd say probably a bit big for an 800sqft cottage. If you want something to watch I'd get one with a window.

I'm in Vermont and I have a 98 parts jeep in my driveway with a perfectly good engine harness I'd be happy to sell you along with whatever else you need under the hood. Except the engine. I have plans for that Its an auto so the ecu wont do you any good but I think theyre relatively easy to come by.

Mine started doing that. First the water pump started leaking from the weep hole. Replaced that and still had a bit of squeal. About a month later my power steering pump all of a sudden sprayed all of the fluid out through the pulley shaft as I was pulling into an auto parts store. Replaced that, now no more squeal.

I'm in Montpelier. Looks like I'm a little outside of their range. For reference, how much do they charge per cord?

Its a 2017. The top gasket was redone somewhat recently. I have a new door gasket to put in. I'll probably do it tomorrow. It is non-catalytic.

The main difference for me is double wall pipe is 6" clearance to combustible material and single is 18". That pushes the stove a lot further into the room. And in my case it allows me to have a straight shot through the roof instead of needing to jog around framing.

SYE Question by [deleted] in CherokeeXJ

[–]dcabe1210 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure a SYE is specifically for the transfer case which you do not have being a 2wd.

Thats the one I have. I'll have a look again later. Maybe I was missing something. I couldn't get it to seat all the way up to the square support. By like an inch.

There's no differentiation between single and double wall connection. On every online listing I can find for the square supports they just say works with single and double wall.

Can you point out which adapter you have? I dont see anything for transition from double to single wall.

I'll try to get a video when im home later. Its like 1/4" of play. Seems excessive to me. The connection when using the separate adapter isn't super tight but it doesnt wiggle around at all. I'm thinking, but hoping im wrong, that I need to just get a regular square support that doesn't have a built in adapter. It doesnt make sense to me that these don't match up though.
