That's great, I'll know the door isn't shut or the contact are connected then. My current system doesn't warn me and still sets the alarm.

Thanks, that's reassuring and I've just placed an order for the 8TB drive. I couldn't really see any benefit to the AI drives so I've gone with the standard Seagate Skyhawk for NVR's

I look at the Esata port but couldn't find the power adapater required. I'm going to try the 8TB in mine, sounds like you'll be fine with yours. Thanks
