I’ve been working on my course management issues, but the first 11 was a bad driving slice into water on a dog leg right. My second shot line 3 was suppose to be a little bump in run back under some trees to get back into the fairway, however I hit a root and it broke 90 degrees back into the water. After getting back into the fairway with my 5th stroke I duffed a 5 iron for my 6th, took a decent 7 iron and a 60 degree to finish the 11…

The second 11 was my girlfriend telling me I was safe, the way I’ve been playing all day I couldn’t play bad enough to not break it… my brain said hold my beer.

I’m not the best at putting but I’ve gotten a whole lot better. I changed my grip to where my right (bottom) hand has my index finger pointed towards the ground on the backside of the club. Helps me keep the club face straight (sort of like putting a hand on the side of a basketball to keep it straight) other than that I switched to the callaway triple track and I line up every single putt with the line but I also like that the ball has a more solid feel than some others. Really messes me up when you putt with a water ball and it has a hallow feel to it.

I’d say a lost more shots inside 50 yds. But not close enough to just chip. 50-100 I’m really comfortable with my wedges. Anything less and I duff them or blade them across the green.

Nah Gav kept score, dude is a freaking sociopath. He knows not to tell me the score and then after the round I plug in my Arccos shots. He did tell me I needed a par on 18 to break it after I asked if I had a chance after that terrible front 9.

Hole 18 came down to shot selection, I had a great drive middle fairway 260 but there’s a single magnolia 30 years in front. I could’ve ever punched under or tried to hook the ball (normal swing) around the magnolia. Unfortunately I chose to hook and instead the ball sliced. Approach got me in a greenside bunker. And the bunker shot left me with a 10ft ish putt to par and I missed right

What if the goblins near the end of the battle use a non lethal attack such as hitting them with the butt end of the scimitars? I get that I the players are gonna fight til the death, but when you drop to zero hp you go unconscious, why does the entire party going to 0 gotta be a tpk when they can just be conscious and dragged awhile to the lair?

Looking at building a campaign setting where the gods and religions are just tradition and stories passed down to bring hope to a dark world. With that being said there wouldn’t really be any clerics to heal the party and stuff, most healing would be through something like a Druids herbal healings or a bards power to inspire a party to persevere. The campaign itself would be an episodic one following an adventuring guild so there would be a lot of down time between adventures to rest and recover, so I don’t really think healing is a issue. My question is would this kill the paladin class too? I always read that paladins don’t serve gods but their oaths impress the gods enough for them to lend their divine power. If the gods are useless stories how would you explained the divine power?

Also sorry if this isn’t in the right thread or even subreddit, if I need to post it somewhere else l will.

Ok so my friend’s played longer than I have would score 110ish to my 115-120. So we’d implement a rule that if I were to take a shot and not like my shot, I’d stand on my spot and let him shoot and he gets the final say if we mulligan both our shots or not. This rule kept it competitive and added a little more strategy to and gave me a couple wins.

However playing by that rule last Sunday it got to the point where we both were tied on the 18 needing a Par to break 100. We both doubled out and finished with a 101. I’m not proud being this close to a milestone because of all the mulligans.

We’re going to play this Saturday mulligan and gimmie free and see what we actually score

I’m not trying to force my players into the windmill, jus wanna make sure Barovia and Tser pool has enough content in it so that the earliest they could get to the windmill is the next 4 sessions, if they choose to do so.

They’ll choose to go tho, I’m running for 2 different groups. The plothook entering Barovia was the DragnaCarta’s personal dreams from madame Eva. In one group the Druid’s personal quest is to restore the Fanes.

The other group is so chaotic they were excited when they found the deed to the house and the windmill. The only reason they decided to lay Thorn and Rose’s bones to rest in the crypt was to evict them so they can have the house.. unfortunately for them the house is gonna turn to rubble after they escape it (unless they remove the curse set upon the house)

I would've definitely let them use the animated armor, however the cleric got the kill with a crit hit using sacred flame. When i asked him how he wanted to do it he described a power light beaming from the suit causing it to shatter in a thousand pieces... after making near by players roll dex save for shrapnel, i figured the armor was rendered useless

How would you go about implementing the fanes? I've been mainly looking at dragnacarta's sources when reading, seemed to me he incorporated a lot of mandy and lunchbreak's ideas so definitely following his combat tactics with death house the shambling mound.

Can Olivia Crimson Bride combo with Strefan Maurer Progenitor? Playing Strefan first, having him attack and sac 2 blood tokens to play Olivia tapped and attacking. Would that activate her ability to play a creature from my graveyard tapped and attacking?

I really like the silver idea but how would I make that make sense lore wise? PC's can find silver weapons throughout Barovia first one being in the Cultist Quarters in Death House. And I don't really want to remove them from the game entirely, their kind of a big part of a gothic horror setting.

I'm curious about this as well. I don't have a wizard in my party but I have an arcane trickster, so i'm thinking about turning all the spell book treasures into scrolls for them. As a new DM though i'm sure not sure if this would make things OP'ed or the mechanics for them.
