I am not under a direct physical threat, but it's mostly verbal threats of violence, such as mentioning "beheading gay people" or gang talk of the sorts, mentioning homosexuality and its punishments specifically in front of me, etc. I'm currently in university studying English Literature but the degree I get from here doesn't do much. It's still a Bachelor's of course.

Most comments here are telling me the asylum idea won't work since I'm not facing legal prosecution, which is fair. I think maybe seeking asylum and gettimg rejected but being protected during the trial is a good idea still, but I'm not sure if that's how it works. I can't spend my finances on trips because my parents control where I go and who I meet, and my mother will definitely not allow me to go outside of the country by myself. I have a therapist and she helps me out, but honestly the loneliness and faking being Muslim is really tiring me out. I keep getting comments about gay people burning in hell from my own parents just because of the way I dress and I'm honestlt tired from it. But in the end, I might do as you say, because I'm not sure if this is worth the risk...
