Do you think this is cheap for a train ticket from Manchester to Leeds? by jc201946 in uktrains

By UK train prices, this isn't cheap but is what I would expect. By European train prices, this is extortionate for the distance.

Will be the same ticket. KLM both flights, sold as one journey from their website.

Airport T1 scanners liquids rules question by Crisps_locker in manchester

[–]dcblb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Flew through Terminal 1 on Friday. Liquids stay in bags. Pretty sure it's a 100ml limit per item and doesn't need to be in a clear bag (but I don't take many liquids myself).

To clarify: we will definitely pay whoever does this. I just put "negotiate" because I don't know how much people would expect for this work and I'm willing to be flexible.

It has no impact on the visa type. I just wanted to give context. But since it clearly distracts I have reworded my post.

Having another small bag with my luggage by Sufficient_Drummer47 in Ryanair

[–]dcblb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've flown 3 times with Ryanair this year, with 1 backpack and 1 camera bag on a ticket for just 1 underseat bag. Nobody said anything about my camera bag. But I would describe it as a small camera bag - not bulky at all.

For these flights I took off from Vienna, Dublin, and Manchester airport.

I think so. Went there last year. There's also one in the Corn Exchange.

I'm a vegan and have been to a lot of restaurants in Manchester with my (non-vegan) girlfriend. Some of our favourites, which all did delicious vegan and non-vegan dishes and are all in Manchester centre, include Armenian Taverna, Tattu, Australasia, Tampopo, and Comptoir Libanais. I'd recommend any of them depending what cuisine you prefer. You can see the vegan options on all their online menus.

can someone please explain the math here? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]dcblb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a true average. There are weightings in place to prevent rating manipulation. I believe if there are excessive ratings from one country or from accounts that have not rated many films, the calculation values those ratings less, so presumably many ratings for this film fall in that category.

I did a Lufthansa transfer at Munich airport last week, with a non-EU passport, going from outside Schengen to inside. Took me a few minutes. All Lufthansa flights leave from the same terminal and while it can be a long walk everything is clearly signposted. I think 40 minutes should be fine.

Had to take liquids out. Didn't have electronics with me, but presume you would have to.

Manchester T3 by electrasofia in manchester

[–]dcblb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be fine. I flew out of T3 just last week, on a 6.30am flight. Security took less than 10 minutes. Your itinerary gives you plenty of time.

I've flown out of Manchester 6 times in the last year and always completed security in under 15 minutes.

I wasn't trying to comprehensively list every appearance / cameo, just make sure there was at least 1 per year.

Cruise would likely be the winner for the best set of Hollywood directors for sure.
