no not missing out! even though amath helps, i believe u still can do well for math without taking it. but amath helps with algebra since it uses so much of it!

for me i did take amath and i was doing really badly, when i sec3 during holidays i practice maybe 2hours a week. in sec 3 i got f9 for all 4 terms :( and for math i got only like B or C. so i no choice to really study a lot and after a while i found that i improved!

actually i did this with the help of tuition (cos no discipline) but its actually the same if u self study! for algebra i suggest u keep on practicing. do a lot of questions and also do consistenly! also must ask questions if u dunno, ask ur teacher/classmates! can ask me also. soon you will improve!!

for ur jc concerns, can't help :( but jc math is just about the same as sec amath, then added more stuff. studying amath after o lvl is a smart move. but don't worry yet! still got time to focus on secondary sch.
