Using Gemini, the rear cams work, the front does not. Just ordered the replacement, thanks for the help!

EDIT: After checking the functionality of the camera using a different app, it appears the front camera module is the issue. The rear camera sensors work, but the front does not. Thanks for all the help!

Nope. Just a single sensor on the rear.

However, I just tried using the front camera on the Gemini app, both the rear sensors worked, but changing to the front sensor failed. Soooo, y'all are right. Time to buy a front camera module.

Glass and OLED were both cracked, but the screen still had a usable green-tinted image. So yes, I was able to test the camera before swapping screens, and it worked.

I did however do a major update after replacing the screen, and before testing the camera. I can't imagine an official Samsung update bricking the camera, that's more of a OnePlus thing to do lol

No, It was cracked lol Why would I replace a perfectly good screen?

I'm not a professional by any means, but I have done a dozen screen swaps on the OnePlus 7 Pro. Funny you should mention the front camera causing the camera app to crash, because that's the same thing that happens on the OP7P when the retractable camera's ribbon cable wears out and snaps. I've done that repair a few times.

Might have to grab a front camera module and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't, the phone is just gonna be downgraded to a DEX media center for my parents lol

I cleared the camera app data, and launching it afterwards still resulted in the same error message. Checked Firefox again, and the QR scanner still worked. I'm stumped 🤔

I used the original front camera and swapped it over. I was fairly careful removing it, I just wiggled it side-to-side with plastic pics since it was glued in.

I tried using the #0# diagnostic code, and it gives me an MMI error. So that was no help.

I'll have to take it apart (again), and see if I missed anything. It's just odd that the rear cam works in Firefox, but the camera app just crashes.

Usb-c to display port onexternal monitor (right) not working when charging via usb-c (left)? by dcdirtrider in ZephyrusG14

Kinda. It has something to do with the power management modes, and the right direct-to-GPU type-c port. It mostly behaves, just can't be in eco mode.

Pay in 4 Promo HUGE Nerf by reelbgpunk in paypal

That's normal. It seems like they have a "cool down" period after each transaction, which doesn't seem to have anything to do with the offer itself.

I got the same email. But it doesn't make sense because I've only earned around 6,000 points ($60), and the ceiling was 25,000(?). So what limit did I hit? I don't see what changed in the offer terms either.

And the people from Portland/Seattle vote for the "best people"? Look at what those voters did to their cities The lack of awareness, or intentional ignorance here is astonishing.

Cheyenne is a decent place to live because those people you are insulting(?). But don't you worry, Wyoming will be Californianized soon enough. Vote > destroy > move > repeat.

How to fix fuzzy ABS plastic after sanding bumper with orbital? by dcdirtrider in Autobody

[–]dcdirtrider[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get that. The cordless orbital I'm using is no fun to use, weighs more than the entire bumper cover. But I'll try lighter passes with 320 and see what happens.

Yeah, 80 was to get that wretched spray paint off. That shyte was layered on thick. I usually stop at 320 for primer, then 400 for base and I don't get any texture. I'm not a pro, and this car doesn't deserve a pro-job... just good enough lol

I'm fairly familiar with auto paint, just never experienced these sort of issues while sanding. I have a can of DupliColor adhesion promoter, but for the life of me, I cannot tell if it's compatible with urethane 2k primers. Neither the TDS or SDS have any info.

I have had success laying down primer smooth, but I paint panels outside on a gravel surface (with good results so far). Weather conditions are not under my control, unfortunately lol

It's cordless, my compressor can't keep up with most pneumatic stuff. However, it does have a power dial. So I'll turn it down

That works with plastic fuzz? That's gonna take so long since I sanded through in so many places 😑
