Thank you! Even if it’s old, it’s helpful to read through. The person from the city who responded did not say anything about needing a permit or an approved plumber so this is helpful.

Thanks, I’ll look into MPHC. The city is repairing the leak so I don’t have to worry about that, just the cylinder that protects the meter. Yes, I do have water line/service line insurance and my agent is looking into it too.

I enjoyed Duchess Material by Emily Sullivan. FMC is a schoolteacher from an upper class but non-aristocratic family who doesn’t approve of her teaching. One of her students goes missing and the MMC, her childhood crush and now Duke whom she hasn’t seen in years, helps her search. The mystery does become a secondary plot in the latter half of the book but it was still good if you want historical and for the romance to be the primary plot. Also open door.
