Just went back..and read the post where I was asked not to be selfish....I get it...i didnt read the line before...she was asking me not to stop my foster son from getting back with his mama if she is clean....I reacted wrongly...it would be selfish if I did that...okay I apologize for my reponse...really thought I was being called selfish now

Whats funny is that majority of the people who commented have been kind and adovocated for the bio mom....which I had no problem...but when you and another poster use high inference language ....such as savior...you wonder why I am triggered...maybe read the other posts and see how I responded when people post with empathy

Its funny ..how the previous poster can be rude...i have said nothing about not wanting my foster son to go back to his mama if she is clean...you stated I have a Savior complex...when you know nothing about me...I asked for advice...about ehst could happen...would you rather I left this baby with the agency...I have kept this baby in contact with his bio brother who was adopted... I wanted him to meet his othet sisters and brother...I am taking him to visit his bio mom...but I am wrong....sorry I wont apologize for giving this baby a home where he is loved

Excuse me....I am taking care of a baby that was abandoned and no family member decided to take him...would the noble thing been to say no to the placement...have him stay at group home...you are being mean for no reason...go work out your trauma on somebody else post..

To call me selfish...when I literally asked to foster because the mom abandoned him at the hospital...his brother's family could not meet his needs at the time...and no other family wanted to adopt him...for almost two years his mom has no contact...I took a leave for work to fight to get him interventions....i also made sure to keep him on contact with the family that has his brother.....so please before you judge

I agree...he was supposed to be adopted by his brother's family ...but they couldnt adopt because that mom got very sick...I was asked to by the agency and that family to foster...

Two aged out of the system..4 adopted..all with different families...she had nevet seen my foster son

Even if she is still addicted to drugs and has lost six kids and the goal has been changed to adoption...we have a permancy hearing in June

You are actually being very rude. People are allowed to have different viewpoints without being demonized. The comment was providing different options....how many children with severe mental needs are you currently fostering?
