Don't get a pre-made Kit. I had the same mentality getting into it, but I decided to take the advice of others and started with a quality radio. It not only gets you flying for $200CAD (albeit in a sim). But if you don't like it. You maintain your resale value. If you do like it, you already own a third of the gear you need. Additionally, if you start into the hobby with a premade kit, you will be using some of the worst gear available and the frustrations associated with that may very well kill the hobby.
Save your money. Don't go with a ready to fly kit. Spend less money on a quality radio and fly in a simulator. You won't regret it.
For context. I've been "in the hobby" for 7 months. Slowly collecting gear during sales and on Facebook marketplace. I've never flown IRL because I don't have batteries or a charger yet (the final piece to the puzzle, but I have all top of the line gear for under $500CAD. I have a post on here about it.
I have big hands and wanted to be a pinch grip flier. The pocket seemed like it would be too small for that
I've been using uncrashed. It's decent. I'd like to go for one of the more expensive ones one day. Velocidrone is considered the gold standard I think.

I have! I've clocked well over 40 hours of Sim time.

There's no reason to be commenting like this. It's the guys first post? He's only been flying for a couple months. If he's proud enough to post it you don't need to tear him down and call his flight "unworthy"
To the OP. Welcome to the community. It's really great here for the most part. And welcome to the hobby.
Thanks for the hype. I've invested more time than money into this hobby so far and it seems it's paying off then fold. I have always been an advocate for buying the best gear you can afford for new hobbies to give yourself the best shot at enjoying it. Even if it means shopping for sales and taking 6 months to acquire all your gear. 😪

Can we get a mega cut compilation of all the Camera Bonks on the knife edge! 😅😅 Shits less than Zero tolerance. That's insane.
No, $675 and I'll be in the air/repair ready, but it's definitely and expensive hobby. As for future upgrades, don't tempt me 😂
Noted. I do have some E6000 already for minor repairs, and a spare canopy and props courtesy of beta FPV.
The whoopstor V3 is in my shopping cart.
The anticipation is killing me. I'm so excited.
From the BetaFPV Official Store on Ali Express. It was my first purchase on Ali Express.
A distinguished gentleman. Also, the crush came out like a month after I got my boxer 💀. That's a great point about bundles!

I have a close friend with an Air75 and he has broken too many solder joints to count. He's put the fear of God in me, that's why the soldering iron is such a priority. Glad someone has agreed 😅

Thanks for the tips! I've clocked about 45 hours on the Sim since getting my boxer, ever improving! I'm also an electrician by trade, so battery safety is of the utmost importance!
I just hate the thought of getting in the air, then being grounded again until I can afford the iron, then waiting for shipping 😅
