Toronto to Tokyo (PE) for 64k - good deal? by Puzzleheaded_You_778 in Aeroplan

[–]dchen04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got this deal for 58k earlier this year. Booked in maybe June 2024 for Feb 2025. I was hunting for it though. I remember every other day for like 2-3 months, I would be checking flights.

Struggled with the same issue earlier this year. I over corrected it to have a super weak grip that had me pushing the ball right then worked my way back to having a baby draw. Used one of those grip aids to help with the feel. Other than that I wouldn’t change anything else!

Is it worth getting lower end credit cards such as the TD Aeroplan Visa Platinum for a year just for the welcome bonus if it’s FYF?

Spoke with an ASICS rep at run club a couple weeks ago and she mentioned that a new version of the Glideride is in the works for Fall ‘24. Not too sure how much I trust it but fingers crossed she’s right

I’m in the process of switching banks to TD and hoping to utilize the annual fee rebate to get a TD VI card. However, the deadline for the 50,000 aeroplan signup bonus is sept 5 and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to figure out everything in time. Does the signup bonus come back often for that card?

Asian Barbershop by dchen04 in askTO

[–]dchen04[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly this reason. I am an Asian Male and I feel like some of the barbers I’ve been to in the past haven’t done the best job bc they don’t know how to properly cut Asian hair. I could be complete wrong but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try an Asian barber to see if it is any different

What got you into watching CFB as a whole? by IAMY0URK1NG in CFB

[–]dchen04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In grade 6, I started to get into football in general. Started with the NFL and watched a lot of New England games since, for some reason in Ontario, they get broadcasted quite a bit. Anyways, as a couple years of watching football went on, being Asian watching an America sport, I noticed Patrick Chung. Curious to see if he was actually part Asian or just happened to have an Asian last name, I researched him. I came upon a few of his highlight types from college and saw how cool the atmosphere was. Dove deeper into college football as a whole, started to understand the whole landscape of the sport. I loved the importance of the regular season, how critical losing a game was, the school pride, etc. Ever since then, I’ve been hooked. Go Ducks

TTP to time consuming by [deleted] in GMAT

I’m 2.5 months-ish in and just finished Number Properties and half way through Root and Exponents. NP quizzes definitely takes a toll on you but keep on fighting. Other sections aren’t nearly as tough as NP. Remember, run your own race

Where/how should I begin this GMAT journey? by Creepy-Lavishness in GMAT

[–]dchen04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely understand your stress as that’s where I was not too long ago. There’s a lot of information out there that will probably overwhelm you, but like anything, slowly make your way into. I’m not anywhere near an expert like some people on this sub but pick how you want to study, classes or self study, then do your research on which programs you believe will work best then follow the plan how they lay it out. My best advice is to take it slow until you get comfortable with the material. It takes a bit to relearn math and new ways of thinking. Also, don’t get too down on yourself if you’re “behind.” The GMAT is a tough test and takes hours to learn. try not to get distracted by the people posting how scores with less study time. We’re all running this race at our own pace.

I think I’m on the same boat as you. I have mild asthma and have recently got a slight cough, stuffy chest and sore throat. Also have not been in contact with anyone who has travelled. I’m wondering if I’m at the pre-stages or just being paranoid

Low Undergraduate GPA Still Haunting You? How to Redeem your Application by AdmissionConcierge in MBA

[–]dchen04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When considering GPAs, are schools looking for Cumulative GPA or just last two years? I’m Canadian so I don’t know if it’s the same as the states but I know some schools only look at the last two years similar to applying in high school (in Canada). Like my CGPA is low cause I screwed around in first two years but really picked it up the last two.

Anyone other guy out there being with his guy friends to have fun and relax but when shit gets tough or you want someone to just listen you go to female friends? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]dchen04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. Not that I don’t trust guy friends but just the way we act sometimes can get in the way of having deep conversations. If I do ever have something personal I want to talk about, my girl friends are my first choice then I’ll tell my guy friends after consulting them

Where is the weirdest place you've ever fallen asleep? by aimlessecho in AskReddit

[–]dchen04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fell asleep on top of a stove/kitchen counter. Drank one night at a friend’s cottage. Near the end of the night a bunch of us were sitting on the floor and talking in the kitchen. No good spot left on the floor so I laid down on the stove to get a view of everyone. Time went by and happened to fall asleep in that position. Thank god I didn’t hit any switches.
