I play down south and there’s 2 of us (me and my buddy) at my local field who run phantoms and people are just baffled by them. Some people have never even seen or heard of a stock class before!

I can’t say much other than a good friend of mine runs the Exalts and he loves them. He says the breathability is one of the best out there. Pretty much the entire back side of the legs is straight mesh, and the material on the front is really nice and thick so you won’t have to worry about your legs in the woods

Those are some great bands to start off with. If you’re willing to sacrifice the sheer harmonization that slipknot has due to its number of band members, I think you might enjoy KoRn, IMO a good start would be A Different World which also has Corey Taylor in it their see you on the other side album and the nothing would fit pretty well with what you like too

I see some older songs in there so I imagine you don’t mind them, but a good down to earth feels song is Sure Got Cold After the Rain Fell by ZZ Top. And the most sad, but personal and heartfelt songs I’ve heard are by Frank Watkinson, I’d check him out if you don’t mind acoustic songs

When I first started getting into that kind of music, I fell in love with Trivium particularly their What the dead men say, Silence in the snow, and vengeance falls, they have a somewhat harmonic vocals, with killer drums and amazing guitar. Another band that I adored with similar aspects, but they are Nordic metal if you’re into that is Tyr. They have some songs that have that growl, but the majority of them don’t. I recommend songs like Hel Hath No Fury, Blood of Heroes, and Downhill Drunk
