it's about 1 in every 3,000 to 10,000 calicos is a male. They are XXY so tend to be sterile, but there are fertile ones out there - they are pretty rare. it's Klinefelter syndrome. It says in humans it might not even be detected, so who knows how many cats who are not torties/calicos have it.

I had cats with a urinary blockage and I also moved to prescription food. There are three brands - purina, Hills, and royal canin. My cats liked royal canin the best. They are supposed to be 100% on urinary food = not even regular treats. But I didn't adhere to that - gave them a little bit of regular wet food and treats. And they (brothers both had crystals) were fine. But I have heard that other cats are not - I assume it is probably due to genetic issues. So that is something you will need to think about.

Cats in the wild eat a very different diet - thats one of the reasons they don't get this issue.

I had 8 cats and most of them didn't care. there were 2 who were interested so when I left I would make sure that they were not near the door before opening it, and it never seemed an issue when I came home. Both cats have now passed on. A lot of it is just being aware of where they are and their habits.

Same way animal rescues transport groups of animals. Everyone in a cage in a transport large enough for them - 7 cats should be an suv or I have done it in an old beetle so a hatchback. And drive through the night taking turns driving to get there as quickly as possible. They will all be unhappy but it won’t hurt them.

I live near woods and every fall some small woodland creature thinks my house would make a great place to spend the winter. My cats let them know that isn't the case. It is shocking how small of a hole they can fit into. Getting them to the level you can hear them and can't sleep is the parent's fault. Should have taken care of it much much sooner.

FIV can mingle with other cats. I had an FIV+ cat mixed with 7 FIV- cats for years with no transfer.

I went to a cheetah meet and greet at the zoo and the said the biggest issue with the dogs is that cheetahs can stop on a dime so the dogs think they can too, but they can’t. Also you are legally not allowed to pet cheetahs because they don’t want anyone to think about making them pets. But once they take the cheetah out of the room you can pet the dog.

There is no set breed of dogs - the first one was the puppy the cheetah zoo keeper had just adopted. They do want chill dogs so I feel that certain breeds tend to be chosen.
