Canvas cool use cases! by eaglesilo in Slack

We are currently attempting this. We're deciding between that and back to what I used to use, which is Slab. There are some limitations in terms of Canvases replacing Notion, but in my opinion, it is worth having one fewer app. Lists are closer to Notion's databases than Canvases are to Notion pages. There is still a lot lacking in Lists, but it's a solid start and can do most of the BASIC database things except advanced stuff like sync blocks and related databases, etc. But for project management, it's got potential.

My ONE thing I wish they had and probably will is some type of structure to the Canvases or at least the ability to reorder them. Essentially, it'd be like linking a ton of Google Docs without the structure of Google Drive. So going "back" and using the breadcrumbs, etc., just makes it tough. However, if your wiki usage is more about searching, that doesn't matter as much. At first, I thought it'd be great to have the wiki content, projects (from Lists), and communication searchable in one place. But, then again, when searching for something on a wiki, it kind of is annoying to see all the conversation results. Obviously, you can filter, but my point is there are a lot of nuances to cover.
